Ashok Leyland Limited in Pantnagar is seeking a skilled maintenance engineer to ensure availability of Cab Weld shop machines and equipment. You will oversee uptime, spares, and services, while troubleshooting PLCs and robots and guiding predictive and preventive maintenance.

You will work on automation, welding equipment, conveyors, and related systems, supporting installation and commissioning of new machines and implementing cost-saving measures.

Qualifications

• Minimum Degree: BE / B Tech / Diploma in Electrical/ Instrumentation/ Mechatronics/ Electronics.
• Minimum Years of experience: 7 Years.
• Experience of Machine maintenance in Weld Shop.
• Knowledge of Automation, Robot, PLC, VFD, Servo, Welding equipments, Fixtures, Motors, Pumps, Conveyor, EMS, Hoists, sealant in Weld shop.
• Awareness of Preventive and Predictive maintenance.
• Knowledge of IATF standards.

Responsabilités

• Ensure machine uptime and availability and ensure on-time spares & services.
• Review shop performance metrics: uptime, line efficiency, MTBF, MTTR, PM adherence.
• Troubleshoot and program Mitsubishi/Siemens PLCs, HMIs and related automation.
• Maintain robots (KUKA, Fanuc, ABB, Yaskawa) and teach/maintain robot systems.
• Handle day-to-day breakdown maintenance and electrical/mechanical/hydraulic/pneumatic issues.
• Execute preventive and predictive maintenance to improve reliability.
• Support project planning and installation/commissioning of new machines or modifications.
• Monitor R&M costs and initiate cost-saving countermeasures.
• Coordinate OEM service visits to optimize costs.

Job Purpose -

To ensure availability of Cab Weld shop machines/Equipment's.

Main Accountability

• Ensuring machine Uptime and availability.
• Ensuring on time availability of Machine Spares & Services.
• Review of shop performances i.e. Uptime, line Efficiency, MTBF, MTTR, PM adherence.
• Expertise in troubleshooting & New Programming in Mitsubishi & Siemens PLC, HMI, VFDS.
• Able to handle Robotic Maintenance, Programming & teaching of Robots.
• To handle day to day breakdown maintenance relating to different types of Robots (KUKA, Fanuc, ABB & Yaskawa) & Auto tool changers, electronics/pneumatic field transmitters/ instruments, servo system, AC/ DC drives, hemming robot, Servo Spot welding guns, hoists, MIG/MAG welding m/c, manual spot weld gun, fixtures, Hoists, EMS electro-pneumatic equipment’s, different types of conveyer (Auto Pallet conveyor, slat conveyor), sealant systems etc.
• Preventive & Predictive Maintenance execution to ensure reliability of machines.
• Able to troubleshoot problems with the help of Electrical/ mechanical/Hydraulic/Pneumatic drawings.
• Support to Project planning & Unit planning for installation and commissioning of new machines or machine modifications.
• R&M Cost monitoring, Analysis and countermeasure to achieve cost reduction targets.
• Identification and completion of cost saving projects. In-house repair of machinery faulty spares.
• Optimise the service visit of OEM to reduce AOH cost.

• Ensuring 100% adherence of LOTO system.
• Zero safety incident. Capturing & closure of Near Miss Incidence, unsafe condition, unsafe act.
• Ensuring functioning of all Poka Yoke solutions.
• Ensure 100% adherence of standards followed by company.
• IATF 16949, ISO14001, ISO 45001 systems adherence and execution of improvement projects for enhancement of QMS & EHS performance.
• Upkeeping of LOTO documents, Daily Log book, Machine history sheets, Preventive and Predictive checksheets, PLC updation record.
