Job summary

Tata Advanced Systems Limited in Nagpur, India, seeks an Executive/Senior Executive to lead maintenance activities, ensuring equipment uptime and driving improvement initiatives across CNC and related systems.

The role focuses on developing a Planned Maintenance mechanism, adherence to schedules, preventive maintenance, spares planning, and implementing Kaizens to enhance reliability and reduce downtime.

Qualifications

• Experience with CNC, SP (Paint Booth, Chemical Treatment, Heat Treatment, Sheetmetal Forming) and conventional machines.
• Maintenance of utilities: DG sets, compressors, hot water generators, electrical substations, water treatment.
• Development of manufacturing facilities and related infrastructure and equipment.

Responsibilities

• Ensure equipment uptime and take actions to improve the same.
• Drive maintenance improvement initiatives to impact bottom line.
• Develop Planned Maintenance mechanisms and ensure adherence to improve uptime.
• Perform Preventive Maintenance on machines, equipment and pneumatic tools.
• Increase uptime of CNC machines and utility equipment; plan spares per PM Plan & AOP Budget.
• Ensure effective implementation of maintenance procedures in plant and Kaizen initiatives.

About the Role: Executive / Senior Executive

To ensure equipment uptime and take actions to improve the same. To drive for maintenance improvement initiatives and make positive impact to the bottom line. Improve availability of the equipment by developing a Planned Maintenance mechanism, ensure adherence and improve uptime. Preventive Maintenance: To maintain the basic conditions of Machine, Equipment & Pneumatic hand tools. Break Down Maintenance: To Increase the uptime of CNC Machine's & utility equipment. Spares planning of maintenance as per approved PM Plan & AOP Budget. Ensure effective implementation of maintenance procedures in plant. Effective implementation of initiatives & Kaizens in Maintenance processes.

Required Skills:

• Thorough knowledge on CNC, Special Purpose (Paint Booth, Chemical Treatment, Heat Treatment, Sheetmetal Forming), Conventional Machines, Utility Operations & Service Support (DG Sets, Compressors, Hot Water Generators, Electrical Sub-stations, Water Treatment) Development of manufacturing facilities, associated infrastructure and manufacturing equipment.
• For Electrical : Fair Knowledge on PLC Systems (Seimens, Fanuc, Alen Bradley, Mitsubshi), CNC Controllers (Seimens, Fanuc), CNC Machines (4 & 5 Axis), Spindle, Robots, SCADA, Switch Gears, Breakers, Transformers, Laser Calibration, Trouble shooting on electrical circuit diagram, selection of electrical elements, CNC/NC Parameters, VFD Operations.
• For Mechanical : CNC Machines (4 & 5 Axis), Spindle, Ball Screw, Gear Boxes, Pumps, Bearings, Machine.

Responsibilities

• Improve availability of the equipment by developing a Planned Maintenance mechanism, ensure adherence and improve uptime
• Preventive Maintenance: To maintain the basic conditions of Machine, Equipment & Pneumatic hand tools.
• Break Down Maintenance: To Increase the uptime of Machine & utility equipment.
• Spares planning of maintenance as per approved PM Plan & AOP Budget
• Ensure effective implementation of maintenance procedures in plant.
• Effective implementation of initiatives & Kaizens in Maintenance processes

Strategic:

• Formulating action plans for correction of repetitive failure through implementing kaizen to reduce the MTBF & MTTR. Initiating solutions and action plans for customer complaints (Percentage of time 5%)
• Standardize the spare parts across equipment & ensure the same in upcoming equipment procurement (Percentage of time 10%)
• Make use of SAP platform for all maintenance transactions and ensure zero non sap transactions. (Percentage of time 5%)
• Drive the Cost reduction and conservation Initiatives taken in the department as well as plant level. (Percentage of time 10%)
• Drives the Maintenance and Reliability initiative focused on Preventive & Predictive Maintenance, not reactive. (Percentage of time 10%)

Execution/Implementation:

• Timely completion of abnormalities raised during AM, PM & PTAB's & report to PEM Lead (Percentage of time 10%)
• Ensure 100% PM and Utility AM adherence of equipment's to improve uptime (Percentage of time 10%)
• Ensure Uptime, MTTR & MTBF targets are achieved (Percentage of time 15%)
• Actively participating in the new projects (Percentage of time 10%)
• Taking initiatives for Cost saving , KAIZENS , Poka-yokes for safety related from PEM (Percentage of time 5%)
• Identifying & Preparing list of mechanical and hand tools spares & Planning for inventory of same (Percentage of time 5%)
• RCCA for each break downs & exploring possibility of MTTR / MTBF Kaizen. (Percentage of time 10%)

Administrative/Co-Ordination:

• Working closely with internal supplier functions to reduce communication gaps and get the outputs on time (Percentage of time 10%)
• Streamlining the feedback mechanism from internal customer functions in order to improve customer satisfaction (Percentage of time 10%)Co-ordination to team members and contract employees for regular activities. (Percentage of time 5%)
