PI Industries Ltd. in Udaipur seeks a Team Member – Environment & Compliance to lead site environmental management and regulatory compliance. The role oversees ETP operations, hazardous waste handling, and CAPA implementation while coordinating with regulatory authorities and internal teams.

The candidate brings 5–7 years of EHS experience in chemical-related industries, with strong knowledge of environmental standards and risk assessment. The position is based on site in Udaipur.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or diploma in environmental discipline is required.
  • Minimum 5–7 years of experience in EHS within chemical/pesticide/petrochemical industries.
  • Strong knowledge of environmental management, regulatory compliance and risk assessment.

Responsibilities

  • Develop Environment management system & procedures aligned with site requirements.
  • Impart environmental awareness training down the line and lead CAPA follow-ups.
  • Oversee Bio-ETP/Chemical ETP operations and hazardous waste handling.
  • Coordinate external interfaces for regulatory submissions and audits.
  • Conduct site risk assessments and issue work permits for critical tasks.

Job description

Position Purpose

Control & act as leader during any site emergency condition
Develop Environment Management System & procedures in line with site requirement
Monitor implementation of the above system and procedures at shop floor level
Conduct Environmental inspection & round and identify non compliances and suggest closure action
Operation and Maintenance of Bio-ETP, Chemical ETP, Management, segregation, handling and disposal of Hazardous Waste
Regulatory Compliances, Applications for Consents and Authorization, dealing with regulatory bodies.
Prepare MIS reports for circulation & tracking
Conduct Environmental incident Investigation and suggest for CAPA
Monitor the effectiveness & implementation of CAPA
Support ISO 14001 & ISO 45001 activities in terms of documentation requirement and implementation
Imparting awareness training down the line

Strategic Responsibilities
  • Develop Environment management system & procedures in line with site requirement.
  • Imparting Environmental awareness training down the line
  • Optimum performance and output from the operations of Chemical and Biological ETP
  • Conduct Environmental impact assessments
  • Monitor the effectiveness & implementation of CAPA
Operational Responsibilities
  • Coordinating towards the external interface of Environment Management including applications, statement, Environmental audits etc.
  • Providing trainings on environmental awareness and preparednes
  • Closely Overseeing operaiton of Bio-ETP, Chemical ETP, Hazardous Waste Management and ensuring controls on the processes are effectivly exercised.
  • Partipate in Incident Investigation through use various tools to reach to the Root cause and suggest recommendations to avoid recurrence
  • Monitor implementation of the above system and procedures at shop floor level
  • Conduct Site Risk assessment of the job and issue work permit for critical jobs including tool box talk
People Responsibilities
  • Ensure in smooth functioning all the activities with to maintain high morale of the workforce.
  • Continuously improve processes to ensure quality and efficiency in routine task.
Education Qualification

B Tech Environmental or B Tech Chemical and Diploma in Industrial Environment
