Job Summary

We are looking for a detail‑oriented engineering team member to coordinate preventive maintenance schedules, manage breakdown records, and ensure adherence to SOPs, critical for maintaining operational efficiency and equipment reliability. This role plays a pivotal part in inventory control, CAPA closure, and compliance with regulatory standards.

Roles & Responsibilities
  • Coordinate with cross‑functional teams to ensure preventive maintenance is carried out on schedule in SAP.
  • Prepare the PMP (Preventive Maintenance Plan) and maintain records of breakdowns and maintenance activities as per defined frequency.
  • Handle external contractors and agencies, review and ensure implementation of instructions (Work Instructions and SOPs) related to production operations.
  • Train and assist team members in troubleshooting breakdowns of machines and commissioning of new equipment.
  • Ensure balanced investigation and inventory control for all instrument spare parts.
  • Plan, consolidate and submit the maintenance budget for the allotted area/unit; ensure maintenance expense remains within budget.
  • Ensure availability of all process equipment and regular maintenance of all process equipment spares by following up with OEMs, external vendors and SCM.
  • Accountable for the closure and completion of all assigned CAPA (Corrective and Preventive Actions) on time.
  • Support technical/documentation activities at site as per instructions from Section Head.
  • Prepare, update, and maintain all necessary documents for audits (SOPs, formats, PM books, protocols, Machine History Books).
  • Manage facility upkeep of respective areas as per GMP and cGMP.
  • Ensure implementation of Good Engineering Practices (GEP) at site.
  • Manage project development and handover activities of in‑house projects, coordinate with vendors, and follow all related SOPs, PMPs & OI’s.
  • Perform maintenance & machining of parts as required.
  • Close Change Controls, Job proposals, Quality & Non‑Quality Impacting reports, and cross‑checks.
  • Guide and control external vendors, arrange material as per technical details.
  • Prepare Engineering Provisions and drawings/layouts.
  • Prepare commissioning reports for new equipment, instruments and submit to Asset Team.
  • Coordinate with CFTs for timely project execution.
  • Train user department and ensure regular operation of implemented systems.
  • Coordinate with service providers during installations, commissioning and qualification activities, breakdowns of systems & equipment.
  • Provide technical evaluation of changes in validated systems or processes.
  • Address deviations in external/internal audit observations in engineering processes.
  • Review and install new equipment with related documentation (DQ, IQ, OQ, PQ, SOP).
  • Initiate and review deviation management through incidents relevant to in‑house projects.
  • Review SOPs and OI’s, coordinate with QA.
  • Follow quality procedures and regulatory requirements.
  • Monitor maintenance systems in SAP.
  • Plan preventive maintenance.
  • Operate and maintain pure steam generators.
  • Take periodic GXP computerized system backup and submit to IT department.
  • Provide technical support for GxP assessment & controls for manufacturing machines.
  • Have good knowledge of PLC programming.
Qualifications
  • Diploma in Electrical & Instrumentation Engineering or B. Tech in Electrical & Instrumentation Engineering.
  • Experience coordinating and executing project development and handover activities of in‑house projects.
  • Ability to coordinate with vendors during project execution.
  • Familiarity with SOPs, PMPs & OI’s and ensuring concurrent documentation.
  • Skills in maintenance & machining of parts as required.
  • Experience closing Change Controls, Job proposals, and impact reports.
  • Capability to guide external vendors and arrange materials per technical details.
  • Knowledge of preparing Engineering Provisions and layouts.
  • Preparation of commissioning reports for new equipment and instruments.
  • Coordination with CFTs for project execution.
  • Training of user departments and ensuring system operation.
  • Coordination with service providers during installations and commissioning.
  • Technical evaluation of changes in validated systems or processes.
  • Addressing deviations in audit observations.
  • Installation and commissioning of new equipment with documentation such as DQ, IQ, OQ, PQ and SOPs.
  • Incident investigation related to engineering.
  • Review of SOPs and OI’s with QA coordination.
  • Follow quality procedures and regulatory requirements.
  • Monitoring of maintenance systems in SAP.
  • Planning preventive maintenance.
  • Operation and maintenance of pure steam generators.
  • Periodic GXP computerized system backup management.
  • Technical support for GxP assessment & controls.
  • Good knowledge of PLC programming.
