Job summary

Dr. Reddy’s Laboratories Ltd. is seeking an experienced Water Systems Operator to oversee day-to-day operations, ensuring safety, equipment reliability and batch manufacturing support.

The role involves maintaining cGMP practices, documenting activities and coordinating with QA, engineering and warehouse to sustain production targets. You will review logs, manage purification and distribution systems, and drive continuous improvements while ensuring proper training and incident investigations

Qualifications

  • Diploma/Graduation in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or related field.
  • 3+ to 6+ years of experience in water systems or maintenance in manufacturing.
  • Safety-driven mindset with regulatory compliance in maintenance and operation.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee day-to-day water systems operations, guiding and coaching staff.
  • Ensure availability of man, machine and material to achieve production plan.
  • Maintain cgmp practices in production area and supervise water generation and distribution systems.
  • Review logbooks and online documentation (PAS|X) for accuracy and compliance.
  • Coordinate with QA, warehouse and engineering for day-to-day activities; raise breakdowns in SAP.
  • Daily reporting to Team Leader/Resource Manager and timely training completion.

Job Description

Job Summary

We are looking for an individual to oversee day-to-day Water systems operations, including guiding and coaching employees, ensuring equipment safety and maintenance, and executing batch manufacturing and packaging activities. Responsibilities also include documentation review, maintaining product quality, coordinating training, conducting initial incident investigations.

  • Adhere to the safety norms, company policies and procedures.
  • To ensure the availability of man, machine and material to achieve the production plan in his area of work.
  • Maintaining cGMP practices in production area including line clearance before related activities. Responsible for activities related to water system like Operation, cleaning and Supervising of purified water generation and distribution system, Multi Column distillation plant ,WFI distribution system, Pure steam generation in main block and compounding block and related online documentation in log-books and PAS|X as per Good Documentation Practice.
  • Responsible for activities related to water system like Operation, cleaning and Supervising and area arrangement of water Pre-treatment area.
  • Responsible for Water system operations, chemical preparation.
  • To receive the log-books other GMP records from QA and review and submission of the same to QA.
  • Dispensing/receipt of materials as required from warehouse/engineering stores etc.
  • To ensure the cleaning and sanitization of water system.To coordinate for the quality notification i.e. CRN, incident, CAPA as per requirement. To raise the breakdown requests in SAP and inform to all concerned person.
  • To coordinate for timely completion of filter integrity, calibration, preventive maintenance, Qualification / validation of equipment as per schedule. To prepare GMP documents like SOP, URS, Investigation report, risk assessment Report etc. Co-ordination with other related departments i.e. Ware house, Engineering, QA, QC, SHE, Administration, Packing, MSAT etc. for day to day activities.
  • Daily reporting to the Team leader/Resource Manager.On time completion of training as per the calendar. To perform any other tasks/projects assigned by Production head.
Qualifications

Educational Qualification

Diploma / Graduation in Mechanical, Electrical Engineering or related field is mandatory.

3+ / 6+ years of experience.
