Job summary

Hyatt Hotels Corporation seeks a Security Officer to ensure safety and comfort for guests and colleagues in alignment with corporate strategies and brand standards.

You will patrol front of house, back of house and plant rooms, monitor life and safety systems, and respond to incidents with concise reporting. Requires vigilance, calm under pressure, and strong communication.

Qualifications

• Certificate or Diploma in Safety and Security.
• Minimum 2 years work experience as Security Officer in Hospitality industry.
• Strong observational and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to remain calm under pressure and handle challenging situations professionally.
• Basic first aid and CPR knowledge (certification preferred).
• Attention to detail and a proactive approach to identifying and addressing risks.

Responsibilities

• Ensure efficient running of the department in line with Hyatt International's Corporate Strategies and brand standards, whilst meeting employee, guest and owner expectations.
• Patrols front of house, back of house and plant rooms to ensure safety, security and comfort of all guests and colleagues.
• Patrols public areas to detect fires, unsafe conditions, and missing or inoperative safety equipment.
• Conducts enquiries and checks on all security and fire related incidents and submit initial reports.
• Ensures fire, life and safety systems are operational.
• Performs emergency procedures relating to fire, life and safety; e.g., attending to fire alarms and lift rescue.
