Jobtailor is seeking a Senior Project Engineer in Pune to lead a team of project engineers on Heavy Industries projects, delivering RA-based solutions and managing the full project life cycle.

You will oversee field installation, commissioning, and remote/client engagement with 30–40% site travel, ensuring quality, schedule adherence and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

B.E./B.Tech in Instrumentation & Control or Electronics engineering.
Total 10–16 years experience with at least 5 years on Rockwell Automation platforms.
Experience in Power & Control, Heavy Industries, Metals & Drives applications.
Strong RA product expertise: Control Logix, Drives (AC/DC), FT View SE/ME.
Experience with project life cycle delivery and global stakeholders.
Site travel up to 30-40% and commissioning experience.

Responsibilities

Lead a team of 12–15 project engineers for heavy industry projects.
Manage complete project life cycle from pre-sale to site support.
Ensure on-time delivery with quality and cost control.
Provide knowledge sharing and regulatory compliance adherence.
Coordinate with global stakeholders and remote/client engagement.

Lead a team of 12–15 Project Engineers working for Heavy Industries (Metal and Infra)
Lead and drive functional excellence in engineering solutions for the Metal and Infra industry
Provide knowledge base, services, and technical understanding according to industry standards and regulatory requirements
Manage all aspects of the project life cycle, from pre-sale proposal support through engineering and site support
Deliver and execute assigned projects on time with quality, cost effectiveness, and customer satisfaction
Support best-practice sharing and knowledge transfer to improve team competency
Report to the Engineering Manager within the Global Engineering & Business Services group in India
Cater to domestic and international projects
Undertake 30%–40% site travel

Requirements

B.E. / B. Tech in Instrumentation & Control / Electronic Engineering is required
Overall 10-16 years of experience with minimum 5 years on Rockwell Automation platforms
Exposure to applications in Power & Control / Heavy Industries, Metals & Drives applications
High level of expertise in RA products such as Control Logix, Drives (AC & DC), FT View SE/ME
Good understanding of advanced solutions like Metals Standards
Good experience of Coordinated drive systems
Proven record of successfully managing multiple and complex customer projects
Good understanding of Project Management
Commissioning experience and troubleshooting methods
Experience in complete Project Life Cycle delivery
Managed Global stakeholders / regional offices and engaged with Clients remotely or at site
Field Installation & Commissioning experience of PLCs & Instruments
Good Command on SAP Documentation and Part Management
