Job summary

JLL in Hyderabad is seeking a seasoned Team Lead, Investment Modeling to support the CMG JBS India team, delivering backend real estate investment fund reporting, data management, and portfolio analysis across asset classes.

You will work with global analysts and stakeholders to improve pipeline effectiveness, manage multiple projects, mentor junior staff, and produce accurate investor reports for EMEA, APAC, and Americas.

Qualifications

• 7–10 years of CRE experience with proficiency in CRE processes: lease analysis, valuations, cashflow projections, and third‑party reports.
• People management experience including performance reviews.
• Direct client communication experience on real estate investment funds.
• Proficient in Argus and advanced Excel with financial modeling.

Responsibilities

• Build, validate, and maintain data sources for CRE assignments.
• Prepare investor reporting for real estate funds across EMEA, APAC, and Americas.
• Coordinate with finance, asset managers, portfolio managers, strategy and research, and sustainability teams for fund summaries.
• Deliver polished presentations with clear slide layout and high accuracy.
• Mentor junior team members and provide technical training.
• Contribute to process improvements and best practices within the team.
• Assist in managing stakeholder relationships and addressing queries.

Team Lead, Investment Modeling

(CMG JBS India - Hyderabad)

About the Role

You'll join the CMG JBS team in India, reporting to the team Manager, providing backend real estate support to onshore users who manage real estate investment funds - spanning investor reporting, data management, portfolio and asset control, and transaction support across all property types. You'll work closely with global analysts, stakeholders, and leadership to support existing processes, drive pipeline effectiveness, and build your real estate expertise across asset classes such as multifamily, retail, office, hotel, and industrial.

Key Responsibilities

• Build, maintain, and validate primary and secondary data sources for commercial real estate assignments.
• Extract information from public data sources, including real estate fund benchmarks.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual investor reporting for real estate funds across EMEA, APAC, and Americas.
• Coordinate with finance/accounting, asset managers, portfolio managers, strategy and research, and sustainability teams to build fund performance summaries and details.
• Deliver polished presentations with clear slide layout and design; maintain high accuracy and attention to detail.
• Mentor and guide junior team members, providing technical support and training.
• Contribute to process improvements and best practices within the team.
• Assist in managing stakeholder relationships and addressing queries.

Requirements

• 7-10 years of experience in commercial real estate, with proficiency in CRE processes: lease analysis, tenancy schedules, valuations, portfolio cashflow projections, operating statements, loan abstraction, Argus modeling, appraisal review, and other third-party report reviews (all asset types).
• People management experience, including performance reviews.
• Direct client communication experience on real estate investment funds.
• Adaptable and able to multi-task across multiple projects and clients.
• Advanced Excel and financial modeling knowledge.
• Quantitative orientation, with knowledge of (or ability to learn) DCF, IRR, NPV, Return on Equity, and Debt Returns.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and organized, with the ability to work independently and within a team under deadlines.
• Desire to work within a diverse, collaborative, driven professional environment.

Qualifications

• MBA in Finance, Real Estate, or a related discipline (or equivalent combination of education and experience).
• RICS membership is a plus but not mandatory.
