Job summary

JLL is seeking a Senior Finance Analyst for General Accounting in Hyderabad. The role involves month-end close, cash management, and preparing financial statements for portfolios, with audit coordination and strong stakeholder interaction with US clients.

Ideal candidates have 3-5 years of GL accounting experience, a commerce background, and strong Excel/office skills. On-site position in Hyderabad, India with a standard 40-hour week.

Responsibilities

• General Ledger month-end close including cash, reclass and accruals journals.
• Prepare timely monthly financial statements for assigned portfolio.
• Submit financial statements and work papers within deadlines.
• Manage cash for assigned properties and reconcile bank statements.
• Coordinate year-end audit work and supporting schedules.
• Interact with US clients and manage stakeholders.

What this job involves

What this job involves –

• Responsible for the General Ledger month-end close, including positing of cash, reclass and accruals journals, and others, actual to budget variance review, cash management, bank reconciliations, balance sheet reconciliation and analysis, and acquiring an expert knowledge of real estate accounting software
• Prepare timely and accurate monthly financial statements for the assigned portfolio within established deadlines, including supporting schedules required for account balances or as requested by stakeholders
• Submit financial statements and work papers in reviewable form (including documentation) and within the proper time frame for review
• Responsible for cash management of assigned properties
• Ensure that all bank statements are reconciled on a timely basis and follow-up on all outstanding checks and reconciling items monthly
• Assume responsibility for the coordination and organization of year-end audit work and preparation of supporting schedules
• Possess strong stakeholder management skills and have experience working with US clients
• Responsible for performing all operational activities assigned to accounts handled

• Strong Finance background, Commerce graduate or Post Graduate is preferred.
• Minimum 3-5 years of Operational/General ledger accounting and Finance experience including Profit & loss analysis, Balance sheet overview, experience in real estate accounting is a plus
• Strong analytical skills with an attention to detail logical thinking and carry a positive attitude to develop solutions quickly
• Impactful communication (written and verbal) to interact with clients and strong interpersonal skills
• Demonstrated consistency in values, principles and work ethics
• Working knowledge of MS office (MS word, excel, PowerPoint, outlook) required

• Works within established procedures with a moderate degree of supervision
• Identifies the problem and all relevant issues in straightforward situations, assesses each using standard procedures, and makes sound decisions
