Job summary

ABB is searching for a Finance professional in Bengaluru to lead General Accounting activities with a hybrid work model. You will ensure complete, accurate, and timely close, oversee journal entries, balance-sheet review, and regulatory filings.

You will also manage ICoFR compliance and provide guidance across related areas. You will analyze accounts, address discrepancies, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to maintain transparent reporting and robust internal controls.

Qualifications

• Sound knowledge of US GAAP, SAP FICO, HFM (Oracle), MS Office, and SAP GR/MR.
• Demonstrated experience managing teams.
• B.Com or M.Com from a reputed college; Semi-qualified CA or CA.
• Experience in finance transformation programs such as SAP implementation.
• The revised sentence is coherent and suitable as a drop-in for American English.

Responsibilities

• Overseeing preparation of financial statements for timely regulatory filings.
• Managing ICoFR compliance for areas like record-to-report and order-to-cash.
• Analyzing accounts, resolving discrepancies, and escalating questions as needed.
• Ensuring transparency in financial reporting and disclosures.

This Position reports to:

Accounting & Reporting Manager - General Accounting

Your role and responsibilities (Mandatory)

In this role, you will have the opportunity to manage complete, accurate, and timely completion of accounting activities for the assigned area (e.g., reporting, consolidation, etc.) within the General Accounting (GA) team. Each day, you will ensure compliance with internal guidelines, procedures, and external regulatory requirements. You will also showcase your experience by overseeing, reviewing, and/or supporting the month‑end close process including account reconciliation, preparation of journal entries, balance‑sheet review, etc.

This role is contributing to the Finance Business Function

• Overseeing the preparation of financial statements in the appropriate format to include in timely filings with regulatory agencies.
• Managing Internal Control over Financial Reporting (ICoFR) compliance for specific areas (e.g., record- to-report, order-to-cash, etc.) to ensure that processes and controls are designed effectively and to address financial reporting.
• Analyzing accounts, identifying discrepancies or anomalies for correction, and acting as an escalation contact for resolving accounting transactions and reporting questions.
• Ensuring transparency in financial reporting and disclosures.
• Manage the team and delivery.

Qualifications for the role (Mandatory)

• Sound technical knowledge of US GAAP, SAP FICO module, HFM (Oracle), MS office and SAP GR/MR.
• Demonstrated experience managing teams.
• Qualified B.com or M.com from a reputed college. Semi qualified CA, or CA.
• The revised sentence is coherent, meaningful, and suitable as a drop-in replacement for the original sentence in American English.
• Demonstrated experience in finance transformation programs such as SAP implementation.
