Job summary

ABB Bangalore is seeking a Senior Team Lead - Intercompany to drive and lead the Intercompany closing and reporting processes for a global organization. • Strong hands-on experience with SAP and Intercompany accounting processes.
• Excellent analytical, financial reporting, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to work effectively across global and cross-functional teams.
• Willingness to work in flexible shifts to support global operations.

Responsibilities

• Lead global service delivery for assigned countries, ensuring productivity, cost efficiency, customer satisfaction, and SLA compliance.
• Oversee Intercompany transactions and reconciliations across multiple legal entities.
• Prepare, review, and analyze Intercompany account reconciliations and ensure timely resolution of reconciling items.
• Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing activities and drive standardization and continuous improvement.
• Build and promote accountability, customer focus, change management, and professionalism within the Finance organization.
• Lead transformation and process improvement projects focusing on simplification, automation, and productivity gains.

Role Overview

Senior Team Lead - Intercompany

As a Senior Team Lead - Intercompany, you will play a critical role in supporting and driving the Intercompany closing and reporting processes. This position offers the opportunity to lead a high-performing team while ensuring accurate financial reporting, compliance with accounting standards, and efficient service delivery across global operations. The role is part of the Finance organization based in Bangalore (Hebbal).

Key Responsibilities

Operational Leadership & Service Delivery

• Lead global service delivery for assigned countries, ensuring achievement of key performance indicators including productivity, cost efficiency, customer satisfaction, and SLA compliance.
• Drive seamless process transitions and operational excellence while minimizing business disruption.
• Provide leadership and direction to a team of 15+ professionals, fostering accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
• Demonstrate flexibility in supporting global business requirements across different shifts and time zones.

Intercompany Accounting & Financial Controls

• Oversee the accounting and reporting of Intercompany transactions, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and timely execution.
• Ensure compliance with internal policies, accounting standards, and external regulatory requirements.
• Manage Intercompany transactions and reconciliations across multiple legal entities within the organization.
• Review and approve journal entries, invoices, balance sheet reconciliations, and other financial transactions related to Intercompany accounts.
• Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to investigate, resolve, and reconcile Intercompany discrepancies.

Financial Reporting & Closing Activities

• Prepare, review, and analyze Intercompany account reconciliations and ensure timely resolution of outstanding reconciling items.
• Support and participate in month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing activities.
• Drive standardization and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance process efficiency and control effectiveness.

People & Performance Management

• Build and promote a culture of accountability, customer focus, change management, and professionalism within the Finance organization.
• Manage key people initiatives, including hiring, onboarding, retention, training, development, and performance management.
• Monitor operational metrics and drive performance improvements through data-driven decision-making.
• Lead and support global transformation and process improvement projects with a focus on simplification, automation, and productivity gains.

Process Improvement & Governance

• Contribute to the implementation and enhancement of Intercompany accounting policies, procedures, and controls.
• Ensure adherence to governance frameworks and best practices within the Finance function.
• Undertake additional responsibilities and strategic projects as assigned by management.
