Job summary

Reliance Infrastructure in India seeks an experienced Programme Manager to lead the PMO and drive large-scale initiatives in education and ECCE. The role partners with state programme managers, government departments and field teams to plan, monitor and implement with evidence-based approaches.

You will build risk registers, monitoring systems, and capacity-building for partners, while iterating activities based on field learnings and aligning with M&E, research and communications.

Qualifications

• Necessary: Post Graduate in education / social work / social science / rural management or any relevant field.
• Desired: Early Childhood Development / Engineering / Computer Science / IT / ITES.
• Minimum 10 years of relevant work experience managing complex programmes and leading operations.

Responsibilities

• Lead the project management function and implementation of key initiatives.
• Support State Programme Manager(s) to implement the programme with government departments and partners.
• Develop project management framework and implementation plan with aligned activities of field partners, technical partners and RF teams.
• Build a risk register to identify programme risks.
• Develop monitoring mechanisms with M&E to assess fidelity, quality and impact.
• Review the programme, visit field, ensure delivery against milestones, identify gaps and take corrective actions.
• Support Partnerships Lead to identify and onboard partners for field implementation and capacity building.
• Provide technical support and build partner capacity to implement the programme.
• Iterate activities based on field learnings and implementation gaps.
• Design and facilitate processes for innovations with stakeholders and prototyping with partners.
• Collaborate with M&E, Communications and Research to highlight insights and impact.

Job description

• Lead the project management function and implementation of key initiatives
• Support State Programme Manager(s) to implement the programme in states, through joint planning and reviews with Government departments and partners.
• Develop project management framework and implementation plan, ensuring that activities of field implementation partners, technical partners and RF teams are aligned and coordinated
• Build a risk register to identify programme risks
• Develop monitoring mechanisms in consultation with M&E team and partners to assess the fidelity of implementation, and quality and effectiveness of the programme
• Review the programme periodically, including visiting the field regularly, to ensure delivery against agreed milestones and targets, identify gaps in delivery, and take corrective measures to reduce implementation gaps as needed
• Support Partnerships Lead to identify and onboard potential partners for field implementation, capacity building, technical support etc.
• Provide technical support on key initiatives and build capacity of partners to implement the programme
• Iterate activities and processes, based on learnings from the field and implementation gaps.
• Design and facilitate processes for innovations - starting with identification of opportunities, incorporating stakeholder needs, evidence-based best practices, latest research, new technology etc. and working with partners to prototype and test new ideas.
• Work together with M&E, Communications, Research to highlight insights and impact of the programme.
• Any other responsibilities, as per programme and organizational requirements, as assigned by line manager.

Education Requirement :

• Necessary: Post Graduate in education / social work / social science / rural management or any relevant field
• Desired: Qualification in Early Childhood Development / Engineering / Computer Science / IT / ITES

Experience Requirement :

• Minimum 10 years of relevant work experience, with a track record of managing complex programmes and leading operations.
• Experience of managing large programmes in education and/or ECCE
• Experience of managing projects to develop technology solutions for the development sector, or to develop smart Anganwadis / schools
• Experience of working with Women and Child Development (WCD) and/or Education departments
• Understanding of Project Management software and tools
• Understanding of Human Centred Design methods
