Rockwell Automation in India invites applications for a Team Lead - Chemical and Pulp & Paper Engineering in Pune/Noida. You will lead a growing team of 10–12 engineers, manage project execution, resource planning, stakeholder engagement, and development while ensuring safe, high‑quality delivery.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Electronics/Instrumentation/Chemical or related field, with 12+ years in automation projects, and ability to travel to customer sites.

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Electronics, Instrumentation, Control, Automation, Chemical, or equivalent relevant professional experience.
• Demonstrated experience leading engineering teams and delivering industrial automation or control-system projects.
• Ability to travel to customer sites and project locations as required.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a team of approximately 10-12 engineers, including work allocation, coaching, capability development, performance support, and succession planning.
• Own engineering project execution across the Chemical and Pulp & Paper portfolio, ensuring delivery commitments, technical quality, schedule, cost, safety, and scope are effectively managed.
• Plan and balance engineering resources across projects, proposals, site activities, and priority changes, proactively addressing capacity, competency, and delivery risks.
• Engage with business leaders, project teams, customers, and cross-functional stakeholders to clarify expectations, align priorities, resolve escalations, and provide transparent execution updates.

Position Summary

Team Lead - Chemical and Pulp & Paper Engineering Pune/Noida-India

As Team Lead for Chemical and Pulp & Paper Engineering, you will provide dedicated leadership for a growing team of approximately 10-12 engineers. You will be accountable for project execution, resource planning, stakeholder engagement, and team development while supporting safe, high-quality, and predictable engineering delivery for customers in the Chemical and Pulp & Paper industries. You will report to the Engineering Manager and work in a hybrid capacity from one of our India either Pune/Noida offices.

Your Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a team of approximately 10-12 engineers, including work allocation, coaching, capability development, performance support, and succession planning.
• Own engineering project execution across the Chemical and Pulp & Paper portfolio, ensuring delivery commitments, technical quality, schedule, cost, safety, and scope are effectively managed.
• Plan and balance engineering resources across projects, proposals, site activities, and priority changes, proactively addressing capacity, competency, and delivery risks.

The Essentials - You Will Have

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Electronics, Instrumentation, Control, Automation, Chemical, or equivalent relevant professional experience.
• Demonstrated experience leading engineering teams and delivering industrial automation or control-system projects, with accountability for execution, resource planning, and stakeholder management.
• Ability to travel to customer sites and project locations as required.

The Preferred - You Might Also Have

• 12+ years of experience.
• Experience delivering automation, electrical, process control, or digitalization solutions for Chemical and/or Pulp & Paper applications.
• Relevant experience in engineering leadership, project engineering, or technical delivery within an industrial environment.
• Working knowledge of PLC, DCS, SCADA, drives, motion, instrumentation, networks, safety systems, and system integration, as applicable to the project portfolio.
• Experience with engineering planning, estimation, scheduling, risk management, change control, quality reviews, and customer-facing technical discussions.
• Experience developing engineers through coaching, technical guidance, structured feedback, competency planning, and assignment of growth opportunities.
