Job summary

Yashraj Biotechnology seeks a senior R&D professional to build and lead the Cell and Molecular Biology team focused on recombinant antigens for diagnostics. You will oversee development from concept to deployment, designing clones, and coordinating across R&D and commercial teams.

You will mentor scientists, manage resource allocation, and ensure timely transfer of technology. A strong background in molecular biology, PCR, cloning, and antigen expression will help drive revenue growth by meeting

• Strong background in recombinant antigens and diagnostics.

Responsibilities

• Develop recombinant antigens/proteins using bacterial, yeast, insect and mammalian hosts.
• Perform molecular biology tasks: clone development, primer design, PCR, vector construction.
• Develop molecular diagnostics kits and related products.
• Prepare documentation for product development.
• Analyze and mitigate risks across design and development stages.
• Transfer processes/technology to respective departments in a timely manner.
• Mentor, train and develop team members to build capabilities.
• Collaborate with other departments to add value to products.
• Support commercial teams by identifying opportunities and leading generation.

Role & responsibilities

• Development of recombinant antigen/proteins form bacterial, yeast, insect and mammalian host.
• Molecular biology and development of clones.
• Primer designing, PCR, Vector designing and construction for all the expression system.
• Molecular diagnostics kit development.
• Preparation of documents related to product development.
• Analyze and mitigate risk at different levels of design and development.
• Timely transfer of the process/technology and other related clones to respective department.
• Help identifying training required by analyzing of skill gap of the team member.
• Set team objectives and monitor ongoing progress and performance.
• Work along with other departments to for value addition of any product.
• Leading, mentoring, training of team for resource development.
• Work alongside the seniors in contributing to overall business objective.
• Person with good knowledge of the recombinant antigens market in regards to diagnostics.
• End to end planning - from product development to market reach for revenue generation
• Build the Cell and Molecular Biology (Recombinant Antigens) Team at YBL
• Expertise in identifying unmet market needs and acting on them swiftly.
• Ability to support commercial teams in identification of opportunities and lead generation.
