Job summary

Great Lakes Institute of Management Gurgaon invites applications for Teaching Assistants in Operations, Marketing or General Management. The roles are strictly onsite with campus relocation preferable. Experience in data analysis and Excel is valued, and PhD candidates or those pursuing a PhD are given preference.

Training and support will be provided by the Program Office. Responsibilities include assisting lecturers, recording attendance, grading, conducting tutorials, and supporting research

Qualifications

• Postgraduate qualification in Operations, Marketing or General Management is required or highly preferred.
• PhD students would be given preference.
• Research/Teaching Assistance experience in reputable business schools is desirable.
• Those enrolled in PhD in the mentioned areas would be favored.

Responsibilities

• Attend weekly lectures and ensure resources are available for sessions.
• Record attendance for all classes.
• Grade assignments and exam papers; determine final grades for sections.
• Conduct tutorials as scheduled by course instructors.
• Work may occur on weekdays or weekends with compensatory leave for holidays.
• Assist faculty in research tasks like data collection, cleaning, and analysis.
• Support examination invigilation and student assessments as needed.

TEACHING ASSISTANTS - (NON - TEACHING PROFILE) - OPERATIONS, MARKETING, GENERAL MANAGEMENT

(Non-Teaching; Only Tutorials)

STRICTLY ONSITE - Candidates willing to travel to campus independently from their own accommodation need only apply. We provide transport on limited routes.

Salary Range - As per prevailing market (Preference will be given to candidates pursuing PhD or candidates having atleast 4 years industry experience in the chosen subject area of expertise)

Key Responsibilities

• Attend the weekly lectures conducted by the course instructors (as assigned); ensure resource provision for the same
• Record attendance of the class for all sessions;
• Grade all assignments and exam answer books and establish the final grades for the students in their section(s);
• Conduct tutorials as scheduled
• Classes may be held on weekdays or weekends (subject to compensatory leave for having worked on a scheduled holiday)
• Any other teaching/learning tasks as deemed fit by Program Office – such as examination invigilation; attending presentation based student assessments etc.
• Assisting faculty members in different research activities, such as data collection; data cleaning; data analysis; proposal/report writing etc.

Qualifications

• Should have postgraduate qualification in any of the following subjects/disciplines – OPERATIONS, MARKETING, GENERAL MANAGEMENT
• Prior Experience is helpful but not necessary
• Research and Teaching Assistance Experience in Business Schools of repute will be given preference
• Those enrolled in PhD in any of the above mentioned subjects/areas would be accorded preference
• Strong skills in written and spoken English and Excel is a minimum requirement
• Knowledge and skills in data analysis tools like SPS
