Job summary

Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) in Bengaluru is seeking an experienced IT operations professional with 8–12 years of hands-on experience in incident management, patching, and deployment. The role focuses on OS deployment, software packaging, and license management across enterprise environments.

The candidate will coordinate with operations, service engineering, and development teams, ensuring ITIL-aligned incident handling, change execution, and reliable software distribution.

Qualifications

• 8–12 years of experience in IT operations and service delivery.
• Strong understanding of ITIL service operation and incident management processes.
• Experience with OS deployment, software packaging, and license management.
• Hands-on exposure to SCCM/Intune for device enrollment and deployment.
• Ability to manage patching, change control, and incident resolution.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and drive incident resolution with cross-functional teams.
• Document incident resolution and workarounds in the Service Management system.
• Perform software distribution, patch management, and OS deployment tasks.
• Maintain and refresh license servers and related infrastructure.
• Adhere to ITIL processes and change management for deployments.
• Communicate status to leadership and stakeholders effectively.

What we are looking for

Must Have

1. To build and maintain images containing operating system and core applications for distribution to user

desktops, troubleshooting and resolving issues as they arise.

2. To develop and maintain skills in Microsoft Windows, OS deployment and software packaging

technologies, including assessing how they may be deployed into existing services or developed into new.

3. Contribute to the ongoing software selection and management, particularly relating to applications and

image deployment, best practice, policies, procedures, and associated documentation.

4. Manage and maintain the existing License Servers, including yearly licenses refreshes, License manager

updates, server updates as required.

5. Perform Daily, Weekly and Monthly scheduled tasks relating to Patching management

6. Recommend and deploy changes via the change management process

7. Coordinating and driving technical incident resolution with operations, service engineering, and development teams

8. Investigate and diagnose the incident. Document incident resolution or workaround in the Service Management application!

9. Responsible for performing Incident Management functions as prescribed by the Incident Management Team within the standard operating practices and processes of ITIL service operation framework.

10. Effectively communicating incident status to leadership and stakeholder groups

11. Very good knowledge on software group creation and deployment.

12.Deep skills in troubleshooting

13. Knowledge on SCCM CB 1902 and migration

14. Good knowledge on Intune device enrollment

15. Candidate should know apps deployment testing and deploy to mobile devices.
