Job summary

Tata Consultancy Services is seeking an experienced GCP DevOps Engineer to design, build, and deploy scalable cloud infrastructure on Google Cloud. You will drive automation, CI/CD, and best practices across enterprise environments.

The role requires hands-on expertise in GCP, IaC with Terraform, Kubernetes, Docker, and related toolchains, along with Agile practices and strong communication within cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in DevOps, Cloud Engineering, or Infrastructure Automation.
• Hands-on with designing, developing, and deploying GCP resources via Terraform.
• Expertise in CI/CD processes and tools (Jenkins, GitHub, SonarQube).
• Strong Terraform knowledge; Sentinel experience is a plus.
• Knowledge of Agile methodologies and practices.
• Hands-on experience with Kubernetes and container orchestration.
• Experience with Docker, Helm, and Kubernetes for deployment and management.
• Familiarity with TDD, BDD, CI, automated builds and code quality testing.
• Knowledge of Java microservices with exposure to GCP; Python/GitHub a plus.

Role Summary:

We are looking for an experienced GCP DevOps Engineer with strong expertise in Google Cloud Platform (GCP), Infrastructure as Code, CI/CD, Kubernetes, and Automation. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in designing, developing, and deploying scalable cloud infrastructure while driving automation and DevOps best practices across enterprise environments.

Required Skills

• Must have 5+ years of experience in DevOps, Cloud Engineering, or Infrastructure Automation.
• Strong hands-on experience in designing, developing, and deploying GCP resources using Infrastructure as Code (Terraform).
• Expertise in CI/CD processes and tools such as Jenkins, GitHub, SonarQube, and related DevOps toolchains.
• Strong knowledge of Terraform; experience with Sentinel is an added advantage.
• Good understanding of Agile methodologies, practices, and frameworks.
• Hands-on experience with Kubernetes and container orchestration.
• Experience with container technologies including Docker, Helm, and Kubernetes for application deployment and management.
• Familiarity with modern development practices such as TDD, BDD, Continuous Integration, Automated Builds, and Code Quality Testing.
• Good knowledge of Java Microservices with exposure to GCP is preferred.
• Exposure to Python and GitHub is an added advantage.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in collaborative teams.
