Job summary

Tata Consultancy Services is seeking an experienced network engineer to design, deploy, and support Versa SD‑WAN solutions for enterprise WANs. You will handle end‑to‑end deployment, policy design, and optimization across diverse WAN links.

The role requires solid TCP/IP fundamentals, experience with BGP/OSPF, and a strong grasp of underlay/overlay architectures, QoS, and secure internet breakout concepts. Collaboration with ISPs and ongoing documentation are key.

Responsibilities

• Knowledge of Versa SASE features (Firewall, Secure Web Gateway, IPS, URL filtering).
• Strong fundamentals in TCP/IP, routing, and switching.
• Hands‑on experience with BGP, OSPF, static routing, and route redistribution.
• Understanding of underlay/overlay network architecture.
• Experience with MPLS, DIA, Broadband, LTE/5G WAN links.
• Knowledge of QoS, traffic steering, link health monitoring, and SLA policies.
• Experience with integrated firewall, NAT, zones, and security policies in Versa.
• Understanding of segmentation, secure internet breakout, and Zero Trust concepts.
• Basic exposure to IPsec, certificates, and encryption mechanisms.
• Design, configure, and support enterprise‑grade WAN and SD‑WAN solutions.
• Perform end‑to‑end deployment and administration of Versa SD‑WAN devices, controllers, policies, and service profiles.
• Optimize routing and implement traffic engineering, QoS, and performance tuning across WAN links.
• Manage L2/L3 switching infrastructure and ensure seamless integration with WAN/SD‑WAN environments.
• Conduct firmware upgrades, device onboarding, and network migrations with minimal downtime.
• Work closely with ISPs for circuit issues, escalations, and provisioning new WAN links.
• Maintain accurate documentation including network diagrams, configs, standards, and change records.
• Provide technical guidance during major incidents, RCA documentation, and architectural improvements.
• Help maintain code quality, organization, and automatization.
