Job summary

A leading networking solutions provider is looking for a TAC Engineer in Bengaluru. This role involves providing front-line technical support for SDWAN deployments, troubleshooting complex networking issues, and collaborating with engineering teams. Ideal candidates will have a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, with at least 6 years of experience in Routing/Switching or Security. Strong communication skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team are essential. This role includes 24/7 support responsibilities.

The TAC Engineer will be responsible for providing front line technical support to debug complex issues in customer production networks, specifically in the SDWAN deployments, by troubleshooting and replicating customer issues of diverse scope.

Educational Qualification

The candidate must have a bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent field of study.

Experience

6+ years of hands‑on experience in the domain of Routing/Switching or Security troubleshooting or implementation.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Troubleshooting network routing and security related issues in production networks.
• Replicate the customer issues in lab environment.
• Work with engineering teams to replicate customer issues and test possible fixes.
• Work on problems of diverse scope.
• Create knowledge articles for subordinates and other team members.
• Should have a good knowledge of Routing, Switching or Security protocols.

Essential Skills

• Working understanding of Routing protocols like OSPF and BGP.
• Clear understanding of TCP/UDP flows.
• Experience of working in a TAC/Support environment is a plus.
• Understanding of Security protocols and features is a plus.
• Understanding of various authentication models (AD/LDAP, SAML) is a plus.
• Good communication skills and the ability to drive calls with customers.

Desired Skills

• Able to handle calls with production customers while troubleshooting their network issues.
• Prior experience with TAC environment is a plus.
