Job summary

Alignerr is seeking Tamil language experts to evaluate and improve AI-generated content for Tamil speakers worldwide. This fully remote contract role focuses on ensuring natural, accurate, and culturally appropriate language.

You'll review translations, identify issues, and provide structured feedback on linguistic quality. The role is flexible, freelance in nature, and requires a high command of Tamil with no mandatory AI background.

Qualifications

• Must be a native or near-native Tamil speaker with excellent comprehension and expression.
• Strong written Tamil skills across formal and casual contexts.
• A meticulous, structured approach to language quality feedback.

Responsibilities

• Review AI-generated Tamil translations for accuracy and naturalness.
• Identify mistranslations, odd phrasing, and cultural issues.
• Suggest idiomatic, culturally appropriate improvements.
• Provide detailed feedback on linguistic and cultural quality.
• Work independently and asynchronously on your own schedule.

This is a fully remote, flexible contract role. No AI background needed — just a deep command of Tamil and a sharp eye for quality.

What You'll Do

• Review AI-generated Tamil translations and original content for accuracy and naturalness
• Identify mistranslations, unnatural phrasing, register mismatches, and cultural issues
• Suggest clear, idiomatic, and culturally appropriate improvements
• Provide structured, detailed feedback on linguistic and cultural quality
• Work independently and asynchronously — fully on your own schedule

Who You Are

• Native or near-native fluency in Tamil
• Strong written communication skills in Tamil
• Solid command of contemporary Tamil usage across different contexts and registers
• Naturally detail-oriented with a consistent, methodical approach
• Comfortable evaluating written language quality across a variety of topics
• No prior AI or tech experience required

Nice to Have

• Experience in translation, localization, editing, or linguistics
• Familiarity with AI tools or language evaluation workflows
• Knowledge of regional Tamil variations — Sri Lankan Tamil, Indian regional dialects, or otherwise
• Background in communications, education, journalism, or content review
