Job summary

Mergen Corporates is seeking a Tableau Developer for the Data and Insights Team in Hyderabad. The role requires 4–6+ years’ experience in BI reporting and data visualization, with strong hands-on Tableau skills across dashboards, calculated fields, actions, and time-series analysis.

You will work with SQL databases (SQL Server/Oracle/Snowflake/PostgreSQL), perform data modeling, and contribute to data quality and governance. Exposure to Python and AI tools is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, engineering or related field.
• 4 to 6+ years of experience in BI reporting and data visualization.
• Strong hands-on with Tableau: dashboards, calculated fields, parameters, actions and extracts.
• SQL: joins, subqueries, CTEs, window functions, aggregations, views and query optimization.
• Data modeling: dimensional modeling, star schemas and slowly changing dimensions.
• Experience with relational databases such as SQL Server, Oracle, Snowflake or PostgreSQL.
• Strong data quality, governance and Tableau performance tuning.
• Excellent analytical, communication and problem-solving skills.
• Exposure to Tableau, GHE Copilot, Native AI offerings, Python, Data Bricks is a plus.

Tableau Developer for Data and Insights Team

Required:

• Bachelors degree in computer science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field.
• Overall, 4 to 6 + years of experience in BI reporting and data visualization.
• Strong hands-on with at least 4 to 6 years' experience on:

• a) Tableau: dashboards, calculated fields, parameters, actions, extracts.
  • 1. Tableau Desktop, Tableau Server, and Tableau Cloud
  • 2. Dashboard, worksheet, story, and workbook development
  • 3. Actions: filter, highlight, URL, parameter, and set actions
  • 4. Time-series analysis, forecasting, clustering, and trend lines
  • 5. Permissions, projects, sites, schedules, and subscriptions
  • 6. Charts, controls
• b) SQL: joins, subqueries, CTEs, window functions, aggregations, views, and query optimization.
• c) Data modeling: dimensional modeling, fact and dimension tables, star schemas, and slowly changing dimensions.

• Experience working with any relational database such as SQL Server, Oracle, Snowflake, or PostgreSQL.
• Strong understanding of data quality, reporting governance, and performance tuning in Tableau.
• Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Exposure to Tableau, GHE Copilot, Native AI offerings, Python, Data Bricks environment is a plus.
