Job summary

Cognizant is seeking a Functional Specialist (ISG) to lead T24 configurations across retail, corporate and wholesale banking domains in Chennai.

The role requires 10-13 years of retail banking experience, strong T24 expertise, and collaboration with hybrid delivery teams to ensure compliant, scalable digital banking capabilities for global clients.

Qualifications

• 10 to 13 years of progressive experience in retail banking with large multi-country transformation programs.
• Deep hands-on expertise in T24 core banking modules covering customer accounts, product and transaction processing for retail banking.
• Experience in T24 corporate and wholesale banking features including complex products, limits and pricing structures that complement retail offerings.
• Solid knowledge of T24 accounting and reporting configuration including chart design, posting rules and financial statement outputs used by finance teams.
• Proven experience in T24 AA retail lending product configuration and lifecycle management with focus on risk controls, repayment structures and customer communication.
• Working expertise in T24 regulatory and compliance modules or frameworks including setup of rules, alerts and regulatory reporting for retail banking.
• Ability to apply domain understanding of retail banking processes and customer journeys to align with real-world needs.
• Exemplary analytical and documentation skills to produce clear functional specifications, process flows and test cases.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather detailed retail banking requirements and translate them into precise T24 functional specifications that improve customer and operational outcomes
• Configure and validate T24 core banking functionalities to support deposits, payments and account services while ensuring stable performance and operational resilience
• Design and refine T24 corporate and wholesale banking workflows to support complex lending, cash management and trade services in alignment with client policies and controls
• Implement and optimize T24 accounting and reporting features to ensure accurate financial postings, reconciliations and generation of regulatory and management reports
• Configure T24 AA retail lending products to support end-to-end loan life cycle processes including origination, servicing, pricing and closure
• Develop and maintain T24 regulatory and compliance rules to support monitoring, reporting and control processes that help institutions meet evolving regulatory expectations
• Perform detailed functional analysis and impact assessments for T24 changes and upgrades ensuring that hybrid delivery teams understand scope, dependencies and risks
• Create comprehensive functional test scenarios and support system integration and user acceptance testing to validate that T24 solutions meet business and compliance requirements
• Work closely with technical teams to clarify functional designs, manage defect triage and ensure timely resolution of T24 issues that affect production stability
• Prepare clear user documentation, reference guides and training materials for retail banking operations and product teams to support effective adoption of T24 features
• Support production incidents by conducting root cause analysis and recommending sustainable T24 functional improvements that reduce recurrence and enhance user experience
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities to streamline T24 processes, reduce manual work and enhance data quality for better decision making
