Systems Administrator - Hybrid Cloud Environment

We are looking for an experienced Systems Administrator with a strong background in technology infrastructure to design, implement, and manage our IT systems. The ideal candidate is a seasoned professional who has progressed from a hands-on engineering role to a strategic position, bringing deep expertise in architectural design and solutions development. You will be responsible for maintaining and optimizing our diverse technology stack, including virtualization, networking, cloud platforms, and security systems, while aligning IT capabilities with business goals. You must understand how all pieces of technology come together to enable operations for a business.

Locations: Pune or Gurgaon

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and maintain our hybrid cloud environment, including on-premises and cloud-based systems
• Administer and optimize VMware virtualization platform
• Configure and maintain Cisco UCS servers and Fabric Interconnects
• Manage Palo Alto firewalls, ensuring robust network security
• Implement and maintain Duo for multi-factor authentication
• Administer Citrix NetScaler and Azure App Proxy for application delivery and remote access
• Oversee Microsoft Active Directory, including user management and group policies
• Develop and implement backup and disaster recovery strategies
• Monitor system performance and capacity, proactively addressing potential issues
• Create and maintain detailed documentation for all systems and processes
• Mentor and supervise one helpdesk support staff member

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
• 5+ years of experience as a Systems Administrator in a hybrid cloud environment
• Strong knowledge of VMware vSphere and related technologies
• Expertise in Cisco UCS server management and configuration
• Proficiency with Palo Alto firewalls and network security best practices
• Experience with Duo MFA implementation and management
• Familiarity with Citrix NetScaler and Azure App Proxy
• In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Active Directory and Group Policy management
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
• Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities
• Solid understanding of enterprise architecture principles
• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities

Preferred Qualifications:

• Relevant certifications (e.g., VMware VCP, Cisco CCNA or other Cisco Certifications, Microsoft MCP/MCSE)
• Experience with scripting and automation tools (e.g., PowerShell, Python)
• Knowledge of ITIL frameworks and best practices
• Familiarity with cloud platforms such as Azure or AWS
