About the Role
We are looking for a skilled and proactive System & Network Administrator with around 3 years of hands-on experience in managing IT infrastructure, servers, computer systems, networks, security, and end-user support. The ideal candidate should have strong troubleshooting skills and practical experience in maintaining Windows/Linux systems, LAN/WAN networks, network devices, backups, cybersecurity, and IT infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities
1. System Administration
- Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot desktop computers, laptops, workstations, and operating systems.
- Administer Windows Server and Linux environments.
- Manage user accounts, permissions, groups, and access policies.
- Manage Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, and DHCP.
- Monitor system performance, availability, and resource utilization.
- Perform operating system updates, patches, upgrades, and security fixes.
- Install and manage software applications and licenses.
- Maintain system documentation, asset records, and configuration details.
2. Network Administration
- Configure, monitor, and troubleshoot LAN/WAN/Wi-Fi networks.
- Manage network switches, routers, firewalls, access points, and other network devices.
- Troubleshoot connectivity, IP addressing, DNS, DHCP, routing, and network performance issues.
- Configure and maintain VLANs, VPNs, NAT, and basic routing.
- Monitor network availability and identify potential network failures.
- Coordinate with Internet Service Providers and external vendors for connectivity-related issues.
- Ensure network infrastructure is secure, reliable, and properly documented.
3. IT Security
- Implement and maintain basic IT security controls.
- Manage antivirus/endpoint protection and security updates.
- Monitor unauthorized access, suspicious activities, and security incidents.
- Maintain firewall and access-control policies.
- Ensure regular password and access-management practices.
- Assist with vulnerability management and security audits.
- Educate employees regarding basic cybersecurity practices, phishing, password security, and safe use of IT resources.
4. Backup & Disaster Recovery
- Configure and monitor regular data and system backups.
- Verify backup integrity and resolve backup failures.
- Maintain backup schedules and documentation.
- Assist in disaster recovery and system restoration activities.
- Ensure critical business data is protected against accidental deletion, hardware failure, or cyber incidents.
5. Technical Support
- Provide Level 1/Level 2 technical support to employees.
- Troubleshoot hardware, software, operating system, printer, email, and network-related issues.
- Diagnose and resolve IT problems within defined service timelines.
- Maintain IT helpdesk/ticket records.
- Provide remote and on-site technical assistance where required.
6. IT Infrastructure & Asset Management
- Maintain inventory of computers, servers, networking equipment, printers, and other IT assets.
- Track hardware allocation, warranties, licenses, and maintenance.
- Coordinate installation and maintenance of IT equipment.
- Liaise with hardware/software vendors and service providers.
- Recommend hardware, software, and infrastructure upgrades where required.
Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of Windows 10/11 and Windows Server.
- Working knowledge of Linux administration.
- Hands‑on experience with Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy.
- Good understanding of TCP/IP, LAN/WAN, VLAN, VPN, NAT, routing, and switching.
- Experience with routers, switches, firewalls, Wi‑Fi access points, and network troubleshooting.
- Knowledge of system backup and recovery procedures.
- Understanding of endpoint security, antivirus, firewalls, and basic cybersecurity.
- Good hardware and software troubleshooting skills.
- Knowledge of Microsoft 365 / Office 365 administration will be an advantage.
- Knowledge of virtualization platforms such as VMware or Hyper‑V will be an advantage.
- Good documentation and communication skills.
Educational Qualification
- Bachelor's degree/diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Applications, or a related field.
- Relevant certifications such as CCNA, CompTIA Network+, CompTIA Security+, Microsoft, or Linux certifications will be an advantage.
Experience
- Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in system administration, network administration, IT infrastructure, or technical support.
- Candidates should have practical hands‑on experience rather than purely theoretical knowledge.

Salary
4 -10 LPA, depending on experience, technical skills, and interview performance.
