Job description

Alstom as leader in railw ay in dustry, in his Data and AI division d evelops solutions that bring values to the data of the railway systems and provides digital services that enhance the operation and bring new values to the railway operations and its customers , also applying for this AI models.

You as System Engineer will take part in the design and development of Dataand AIsolutions mainly forData Algorithms Productization(in both development and delivery phases); working with platforms andother systems(likeAlstom Data Fabric, DMS, Health Hub, ICC…) to improve either their internal project deployment operations, and also toenhancethe functionality provided tofinal customers.

It includes the Design specification of Cloud-basedandon-premisesframework for training models,collaborationspecification reviews, system designproposals,and designofdata integration.

Roles

• Work in System Engineering team under Solution Architect leadership.
• Design at System level technical solutions for applications that need models to integrate.
• Define the interfaces between the involved subsystems.
• Requirements specification of the system/subsystems.
• Control and allocate projects’ requirements to various subsystems and manage overall system performance.
• Participate in the technical solution design and the integration of subsystems, products and other technical partners.
• Ensure the consistency of the System design work in terms of reuse, compatibility with previous versions, and adequacy to market.
• Review of requirements fulfillment, interaction and work closely with Validation team.

Accountabilities and Responsibilities

• Will be responsible of the assigned task in: Write Program Requirements Specification based on applications/projects inputs and internal objectives of the program.
• Projects requirement Analysis and technical analysis elaboration.
• Technical interface to Platforms, Subsystems and products.
• Technical interface to the internal Data Analytics team.
• System Design of data analytics solution adapted to Platform/project needs.
• Technical Management (Configuration, Change Control and Requirement).
• Responsible for the identification and management of the interfaces between teams and sub-systems.
• Participate in the overall performance of the system and the allocation of the performance requirements on each component to meet the system requirements and ensure that these requirements are met.
• Control the collection of technical data and keep it up to date.
• Participate in the Projects Reviews (Give status on System activities).
• Maintain the architecture blueprints for industrialization: system components, integration patterns, dataflows and deployment.
• Contribute to governance, integration patterns, and technical standards.

Candidate Requirements

Educational Requirements.

• Engineering degree (Telecom, SW, Computer Science, Industrial…)
• English language Skill
• French Language skills will be appreciated.
• Spanish Language skills will be appreciated.

Technical Knowledge

• 5-7 years’ experience as a System Engineer.
• General knowledge of Data and AI and its capabilities.
• Knowledge of containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Knowledge on service interface and APIs.
• Experience with CI/CD and Infrastructure.
• Familiar with MLOps principles and lifecycle management of AI models.
• General knowledge of industrial project management processes: V-Cycle.
• Desirable: Knowledge of Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, CMMI…).
• Desirable: technical knowledge of railway environment and Signaling (Mainlines & Urban) solutions for:
• Systems operation and performance.
• Signalings sub-systems (ATC/ATP/ATO, ERTMS, Interlocking)
• Telecom Data Transmission and Processing.
• Security solution (CCTV, PA, PIS).
• Desirable: On-Site project experience (Deployment, T&C, Installation) will be a plus.

• Must be able to work closely with the project team and provide appropriate technical solutions and support.
• Must show a proactive attitude and think about solutions to issues that may arise.
