Job summary

Alstom is seeking a Training Specialist to design, deliver, and manage comprehensive training programs for its rail solutions. You will lead theoretical and practical sessions, both on site at the Services Academy and at customer sites, including virtual sessions.

The role focuses on quality, cost, and timely delivery of training content while coordinating with Project Engineering, ISR, and Bid Management teams.

Qualifications

  • Degree in Engineering or equivalent, preferably Mechanical or Electrical.
  • Experience or understanding of rolling stock systems, subsystems, and maintenance activities.
  • Knowledge of system design, functional descriptions, and maintenance planning.
  • Familiarity with instructional design methodologies such as ADDIE and training tools like audio, video, and animation software.
  • Certification in Training and Development Activities (desirable).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 applications and SharePoint for document management and collaboration.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

  • Forecast and plan workload and staffing for training activities.

  • Develop and implement induction training programs and team competency development plans.

You’ll play a key role in equipping our customers and internal teams with the knowledge and skills needed to operate and maintain our innovative transport systems. Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with teams across the business (e.g., Project Engineering, ISR, Bid Management), manage training activities, and develop engaging and effective training materials, and much more.

You’ll specifically take care of delivering theoretical and practical training sessions, both in-person and online, and managing training strategies and plans, but also ensuring the quality, cost, and delivery of training content.
