Job summary

Siemens Energy India invites applications for the role of System Administrator for Software Applications in India. The position focuses on maintaining critical software tools for the Switchgear business and ensuring business continuity.

You will manage Linux and Windows-based applications, coordinate with teams, and implement scripts to support application functionality as part of a Shared Software System Team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (MCA preferred).
• 5-7 years of experience in system administration.
• Strong knowledge of Windows Server and SQL Server or any databases.

We are seeking an experienced professional to join us as a System Administrator for Software Applications. This role is crucial for ensuring business continuity through the dedicated maintenance and operation of critical software tools for the Switchgear business in India.

How You’ll Make an Impact

About The Team

Our product portfolio includes AIS (upto 800 kV), GIS (upto 420 kV), Power Transformers (upto 765 kV, 500 MVA), Reactors (upto 765 kV), Traction Transformers (upto 33 kV, 10 MVA). We provide EPC for high and extra high voltage projects pertinent to AIS/GIS, Flexible Alternating Current Transmission System (FACTS) devices and High Voltage Direct Current Voltage Source Converter (HVDC VSC) technology. Further, we offer an extensive range of services for the complete lifecycle of the High Voltage /Extra High Voltage asset and projects including bay extension, substation modernization, product retrofitting and overhauling, emergency services, breakdown services, Long Term Service Agreements (LTSAs), maintenance contracts, O&M contracts and spares.
