Job summary

RV PU College in Bengaluru seeks a proactive System Administrator / IT Support Engineer to manage their IT infrastructure, ensuring reliable operation of servers, networks, systems and end-user devices.

You will administer Windows Server and Windows 10/11, manage Active Directory, Group Policy, Microsoft 365 and Outlook, plus LAN/WAN, DNS, DHCP and basic firewall configurations. Strong troubleshooting and teamwork in an educational setting are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electronics, or a related field.
• 25 years of experience in System Administration or IT Infrastructure Support.
• Strong troubleshooting, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience in educational institutions is an added advantage.

Responsibilities

• Provide administration and end-user support for Microsoft 365 and Outlook.
• Configure, monitor, and troubleshoot LAN/WAN, TCP/IP, DNS, and DHCP.

• Manage system backup and restore processes.
• Install, configure, and troubleshoot desktops, laptops, printers, scanners, and other peripherals.
• Provide technical support for CCTV, NVR, and IP PBX systems.
• Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and network-related issues.
• Maintain IT asset inventory, software licenses, and documentation.
• Coordinate with vendors for hardware repairs, warranty support, and procurement.
• Ensure timely resolution of user support tickets and maintain high service standards.
• Follow IT security policies and implement best practices.
