Job summary

Motherson Electro Components Limited (formerly Samvardhana Motherson) is seeking an IT Support professional to install, configure, and troubleshoot Windows and Ubuntu systems, manage AD users and groups, and support DNS/DHCP, file servers, and collaboration tools. The role requires hands-on hardware and networking knowledge and collaboration with vendors for complex issues.

Primary location is Pune, Maharashtra, with on-site responsibilities and adherence to SLAs and incident/change management

Qualifications

• Experience in IT support and system administration is essential.
• Strong knowledge of Windows and Ubuntu environments.
• Familiarity with Active Directory, user and group management.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and troubleshoot Windows and Ubuntu systems.
• Perform system administration in Active Directory, including user and group management.
• Handle onboarding and off-boarding, and manage inventory.
• Configure DNS, DHCP, and file servers.
• Maintain Outlook, Teams, and Empro workflows.
• Administer hardware & networking, including printers and network devices.
• Resolve escalated system/network issues and coordinate with vendors.
• Administer O365, VPN, and patch management.
• Understand basic networking (hub, switch, router, cabling) and connectivity.
• Collaborate with project teams for complex issues and manage tickets per SLA.

Job responsibilities IT Support

• Installation, configuration, and troubleshoot Windows & ubuntu
• Able to perform System Administrative in Active Directory, User & Group Management.
• Knowledge of Onboarding & offboarding, inventory management.
• Good Knowledge of DNS, DHCP, File server.
• Good knowledge of outlook, Teams and Empro.
• Good knowledge of Hardware & Networking, able to configure Network Printer.
• Able to handle Escalated issues related to system /network.
• Knowledge of O365 and VPN & Patch management
• Basic knowledge of Hub, Switch, router and ILL, P2P, cabling (straight, cross) etc.
• Work closely with vendors and project teams for complex issue.
• Good understanding of Ticketing tool, SLA, Incident, service request , change Management.
