Job summary

Qualys Security Techservices Private Limited is seeking a System Administrator to manage on‑premises and cloud server infrastructure, focusing on reliability, security hardening, and automation using PowerShell or Python.

The role covers Nutanix AHV, Windows Server, Linux, Active Directory, Veeam backups, Azure, and monitoring with PRTG. Strong ITIL experience and scripting skills are required; senior-level experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• 3–6 years of hands-on experience in server and cloud infrastructure administration.
• Production experience with Nutanix AHV.
• Strong Windows Server and Active Directory administration skills.
• Working knowledge of Linux server administration.
• Hands-on experience with Veeam Backup & Replication, including restores and DR drills.
• Monitoring experience with PRTG or an equivalent tool.
• Demonstrated experience managing Azure infrastructure, including compute, storage, networking, and backup.
• Scripting skills in PowerShell or Python.
• ITIL certification and experience working in an ITIL-aligned environment.

Responsibilities

• Administer Nutanix AHV clusters, including VM provisioning, patching, capacity planning, and cluster health.
• Manage Windows Server (2016/2019/2022) and Active Directory, including server builds, patching, GPOs, DNS/DHCP, and replication health.
• Install, configure, and troubleshoot Linux servers running RHEL, CentOS, or Ubuntu.
• Own Veeam backup and restore operations, including job configuration, restore testing, retention, and DR readiness.
• Manage Azure infrastructure, including VMs, storage, networking, backup, and cost governance, and support a small Azure Virtual Desktop footprint.
• Maintain infrastructure monitoring in PRTG, including sensors, thresholds, alerting, and dashboards.
• Automate provisioning, patching, and reporting using PowerShell or Python.
• Manage incidents, requests, changes, and problems in line with ITIL practices and SLAs; maintain runbooks and documentation.
• Participate in maintenance windows, upgrades, and the on-call rotation.
• Support security hardening and vulnerability remediation across server and cloud infrastructure.

Educational Qualification

BE/B.Tech/BCA/MCA, preferably in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
