Job summary

Qualys, Inc. is seeking an IT Infrastructure Administrator to manage on‑prem and cloud server infrastructure, including Nutanix AHV, Windows, Linux, AD, Veeam, and Azure.

The role emphasizes reliable day‑to‑day operations, backup readiness, security hardening, and automation with PowerShell or Python in an ITIL‑driven environment. You will administer Nutanix AHV clusters, Windows Server and AD, Linux, Veeam backups, Azure infrastructure, and monitoring with PRTG while contributing to incident

Qualifications

• 3–6 years of hands‑on experience in server and cloud infrastructure administration.
• Production experience with Nutanix AHV.
• Strong Windows Server and Active Directory administration skills.
• Working knowledge of Linux server administration.
• Hands‑on experience with Veeam Backup & Replication, including restores and DR drills.
• Monitoring experience with PRTG or an equivalent tool.
• Demonstrated experience managing Azure infrastructure, including compute, storage, networking, and backup.
• Scripting skills in PowerShell or Python.
• ITIL certification and experience working in an ITIL‑aligned environment.

Responsibilities

• Administer Nutanix AHV clusters, including VM provisioning, patching, capacity planning, and cluster health.
• Manage Windows Server (2016/2019/2022) and Active Directory, including server builds, patching, GPOs, DNS/DHCP, and replication health.
• Install, configure, and troubleshoot Linux servers running RHEL, CentOS, or Ubuntu.
• Own Veeam backup and restore operations, including job configuration, restore testing, retention, and DR readiness.
• Manage Azure infrastructure, including VMs, storage, networking, backup, and cost governance, and support a small Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) footprint.
• Maintain infrastructure monitoring in PRTG, including sensors, thresholds, alerting, and dashboards.
• Automate provisioning, patching, and reporting using PowerShell or Python.
• Manage incidents, requests, changes, and problems in line with ITIL practices and agreed SLAs, and maintain runbooks and documentation.
• Participate in maintenance windows, upgrades, and the on‑call rotation.
• Support security hardening and vulnerability remediation across server and cloud infrastructure.

Preferred Qualifications

• Certifications such as Microsoft Azure Administrator (AZ-104), Nutanix Certified Professional (NCP), RedHat Certified System Administrator (RHCSA), or Veeam Certified Engineer (VMCE).

Educational Qualification: BE/B.Tech/BCA/MCA, preferably in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
