Job summary

Utrade Solutions is seeking an experienced IT Systems Administrator to manage Windows and Linux servers, networks, and security across on-site Mohali infrastructure, ensuring high availability. You will handle asset tracking, Fortigate firewalls, VPNs, Cisco devices, and web apps (Nginx/Apache), while scripting in Bash/Python and maintaining Jenkins/Git workflows.

Joining a hands-on team, you’ll monitor performance, implement ITIL-aligned processes, and support development, testing, and staging

Qualifications

• Experience administering Windows Server and Linux servers.
• Experience with network infrastructure including Fortigate and Cisco devices.
• Scripting ability in Bash and Python is mandatory.
• Familiarity with AD, DNS, DHCP, and security patching.
• Knowledge of CI/CD tools and Git repositories.

Responsibilities

• Be the first point of contact for Windows and macOS software and laptop hardware issues
• Track and inventory IT hardware assets and their software configurations
• Resolve and troubleshoot disk, memory, CPU, and file system issues on Windows Server and Linux Server (CentOS/Ubuntu/FreeBSD, Windows Server 2012/2016/2019)
• Knowledge of networking, Fortigate firewalls and IPS systems
• Strong understanding of networking protocols - TCP/IP, HTTP/HTTPS, DNS, DHCP
• Configuring, testing, and troubleshooting of network equipment such as Cisco routers/switches
• Maximize network performance by monitoring performance, troubleshooting network problems and outages
• Lease line management, Fortigate firewall configuration, VPN setup
• Experience managing, supporting and deploying network infrastructures including WiFi, LAN, and VLAN configuration
• DLP (Data Loss Prevention) policy enforcement and endpoint security management
• Patch Windows Server and Linux servers in accordance with security advisories
• Administration of Linux Servers (CentOS/Ubuntu) and Microsoft AD (RDS, WSUS, IIS, GPO)
• Knowledge of administering basic Linux services like LVM, SSH, FTP, Nagios, etc
• Jenkins administration: build server management, plugin updates, pipeline troubleshooting, and build agent maintenance
• Git server administration (GitLab/Bitbucket self-hosted) including repository management and access control
• Docker registry administration and basic container environment support for development teams
• Administer and maintain internal development, testing, and staging servers
• Experience with setting up web applications on Linux preferably using Nginx and Apache, and configuring SSL certificates
• Bash/Python scripting is must (Windows PowerShell is a plus)
• Backup/restore and administration of RDBMS (PostgreSQL/MySQL)
• Knowledge of CI/CD (Jenkins) and Git
• System monitoring and capacity planning
