Job summary

Citi in Pune offers an exciting Program Manager role within Market Operations to lead global initiatives across Equities and Fixed Income. You will partner with Middle Office and operations to shape the target operating model and ensure successful delivery of complex programs.

You will manage governance, dependencies, testing, and stakeholder engagement while driving measurable benefits and KPIs with sponsors. A strong analytical mindset and effective communication are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from a recognised university.
• Strong track record delivering process transformation projects.
• Exceptional analytical abilities and attention to detail.
• Excellent verbal and written communication with cross-functional teams.
• Experience in front-to-back process reviews.
• Proficient in MS Excel and PowerPoint; familiarity with Jira.

Responsibilities

• Define and execute target operating model with Middle Office/Operations.
• Deliver multiple projects aligned to business goals and target state.
• Establish project governance and stakeholder management.
• Identify dependencies, risks, exceptions, and issues; drive resolution.
• Generate clear, strategic business requirements.
• Ensure measurable benefits and KPIs with sponsors.
• Coordinate with technology for delivery plans and accountability.
• Manage testing streams and lead UAT with internal/external teams.
• Develop and deliver status reports to Markets Operations and management.
• Contribute to design and delivery of Operations training materials.
• Provide SME support for internal queries related to projects.
• Lead, supervise, coach and develop junior team members.

Team/Role Overview Our Operations groups are core to the success of the Markets business. We support a wide range of internal stakeholders alongside having significant interaction with external clients, playing a key role in the overall client experience. We are recruiting for a program manager to lead multiple global initiatives across Equities and Fixed Income. Initiatives will cover but not limited to regulatory (T+1), strategic re-architecture.

What you’ll do

• Partner with Middle Office/operations to define and execute on target operating model.
• Responsible for the successful delivery of multiple projects and their alignment to business goals and target state.
• Execute established project management disciplines including the development of program governance and effective stakeholder management to drive planning and execution
• Identify, prioritise and proactively manage dependencies, risks, exceptions and issues to resolution.
• Generate business requirements ensuring they are clearly documented and strategic in nature.
• Work with sponsors to ensure that there are measurable benefits and associated KPIs.
• Work collaboratively with technology, ensuring there are clear delivery plans aligned to Operations strategic requirements and hold delivery plan owners to account
• Manage testing work streams, drive User Acceptance Testing collaborating with internal and external teams where required
• Develop and deliver presentations to Markets Operations and business management covering project / program status and plans
• Contribute to the design and delivery of Operations training plans and materials, present training to small and large groups as required
• Provide subject matter expertise for internal queries relating to appropriate projects
• Lead, supervise, coach and develop more junior Markets Operations Program Execution team members

What we’ll need from you

• Bachelor’s/University degree
• Strong working knowledge of global markets preferred
• Proven track record of managing Process Transformation projects
• Critical thinking and Strong analytical skills, with exceptional attention to detail Strong interpersonal, influencing and organizational skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong project management / business analysis skills
• Strong knowledge of MS Excel and PowerPoint skills
• JIRA experience a plus
• Ability to lead and execute large front to back process reviews
