The role requires a deep understanding of markets products, risks, controls and regulatory considerations, with strong communication and leadership across senior stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Significant experience delivering transformation programs in a large global financial services firm.
• Certifications in Six Sigma, Agile, Lean, Prince2 or PMP are highly desirable.

Citi's Markets Operations has embarked on a significant, multi-year transformation journey to design and deliver a future state Target operating Model covering risk and controls, regulatory compliance, process engineering, automation, people and culture, data transformation, technology investment and client service. We are currently recruiting a candidate to join a cross functional global team within the Markets Operations Process Engineering team. The Process Engineering team was formed to support stakeholders both within Operations and across the bank to deliver this multi-year transformation roadmap. Our transformation is underpinned by strategy, investment, change execution and a market-leading change delivery team focusing on program and project management, business analysis, process engineering and low code application development.

Role Overview

The Vice President Project Manager/Business Analyst role we are recruiting for will be instrumental in supporting Change initiatives in one or more projects for Markets Operations. The role will combine project management expertise and analytical skills to support transformation in partnership with operations teams and technology partners globally across Citi. The role requires a good understanding of Markets products and operational processing as well as project management practices and discipline.

What you'll do

• Manage a set of assigned projects; Developing plans, tracking progress of deliverables, performing analysis, ensuring all project delivery documentation is in place to the required standard and meeting stakeholder expectations
• Work with stakeholders to ensure program scope definition meets Operations objective, ensuring requirements are strategic, clearly documented, well understood by all stakeholders including Technology and backed by a business case, cost benefit analysis, tangible benefits and associated KPIs
• Proactively manage the communication of status, issue, resolution and risks to the Sponsor and key stakeholders on a timely basis, and engaged in/driving working groups, senior forums, and workshops where required
• Foster and maintain relationships with business and technology stakeholders acting as SME to senior stakeholders and/or other team members
• Implement best practices and global consistency, simplifying & standardizing processes, controls and flows.
• Lead identification, and drive resolution of issues, including those outside of the immediate workstream within their remit
• Support stakeholders across a program lifecycle such as testing and operational readiness planning
• Facilitate and deliver change to reduce the risk profile
• Drives adherence to program processes, procedures, methods, and standards for program delivery as defined by Citi PM standards
• Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behaviour, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency

What we'll need from you

• Significant experience in delivering transformation programs in a fast paced, large global financial services firm, ideally in an operations, risk or technology organization
• Exceptional Program Management skills; Specialized program management and/or reengineering certifications (six sigma, Agile, Lean, Prince 2 or PMP).
• Strong organization and multi-tasking skills. Flexibility to handle multiple tasks and changing priorities along with a desire to work in a dynamic environment is key.
• Excellent analytical, data management and problem-solving skills and ability to clearly document findings and proposals for solutions using tools such as Excel, PowerPoint, JIRA, Confluence and any other relevant tools.
• Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills. A demonstrated ability to effectively communicate technical and business issues and solutions to multiple levels
• Exercise independence of judgement/autonomy and can operate with a limited level of direct supervision.
• Experience with stakeholder engagement with the ability to lead and drive working groups with senior stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Relevant years of PM experience and prior industry experience
• Fully knowledgeable on the day-to-day activities of a product or process; Basic understanding of the firm's different businesses and the related economics; Individual is expected to be subject area expert in one (or more) specific skill sets
• Possesses a comprehensive understanding of how own area and others collectively integrate to contribute towards achieving business objectives
