Responsibilities

Role & responsibilities

Process Engineering & Process Control

• Support day-to-day monitoring and control of surface treatment processes such as cleaning, chemical treatment, anodizing, plating, conversion coating, etc.
• Monitor process parameters including chemical concentration, pH, temperature, time and bath conditions.
• Identify process deviations and support corrective actions in coordination with Production and Quality teams.
• Support process troubleshooting and continuous improvement initiatives.

2. Process Development

• Support development and validation of new surface treatment processes and process parameters.
• Conduct trials and experiments for process optimization and improvement.
• Assist in evaluation of new chemicals, process methods and technologies.
• Support implementation of process changes in accordance with approved procedures and specifications.

3. Chemical Analysis

• Conduct routine chemical analysis of process baths as per defined frequency and methods.
• Prepare and standardize laboratory solutions required for analysis.
• Maintain chemical analysis records and ensure accuracy and traceability of test results.
• Monitor trends in chemical parameters and highlight abnormalities for timely action.
• Ensure safe handling, storage and disposal of chemicals as per EHS requirements.

4. Documentation & Compliance

• Prepare and maintain process records, chemical analysis reports, work instructions and process-related documentation.
• Support preparation and revision of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), process sheets and control plans.
• Maintain records required for internal, customer and regulatory audits.
• Ensure documentation is maintained in line with applicable aerospace quality requirements and company procedures.

5. Quality & Continuous Improvement

• Work closely with Quality, Production and Engineering teams to resolve process-related issues.
• Support root cause analysis and implementation of corrective/preventive actions.
• Participate in Kaizen, process improvement and productivity initiatives.
• Support process capability, data analysis and trend monitoring activities.
