Job summary

PMI Engineering Exports Pvt. Ltd. (PennAero Group) in Chennai is hiring a Manager – Special Process & Quality to lead our anodizing and surface-treatment quality function. This role drives AS9100 Rev D compliance, NADCAP readiness, and continual process improvement.

You will prepare SOPs, support audits, and work with cross-functional teams to ensure safe, efficient production while engaging with customers through virtual meetings.

Qualifications

• At least 10 years of experience in special process or quality roles.
• Strong knowledge of anodizing, cleaning, etching and clean-room processes.
• Good exposure to AS9100 and NADCAP requirements.
• Experience in statistical process control and data analysis.
• Aerospace or defence manufacturing background mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Lead process quality for anodizing, cleaning, etching, wipe-off techniques and clean-room operations.
• Ensure AS9100 and NADCAP compliance, and handle system, NADCAP and customer audits.
• Prepare work instructions and SOPs for special processes.
• Troubleshoot process and product issues, and implement effective root cause analysis and CAPA.
• Monitor process performance and production metrics using statistical and data tools.
• Support new product and process development.
• Ensure safety compliance and conduct risk assessments.
• Communicate with customers through Teams and Zoom calls.
• Coordinate with technicians, shift in-charges and cross-functional teams.

Desired candidate profile

• At least 10 years of experience in special process or quality roles, including senior leadership.
• Strong knowledge of anodizing, cleaning, etching and clean-room processes.
• Good exposure to AS9100 and NADCAP requirements.
