Job summary

Aditya Birla Group in India’s Jharkhand region seeks an Assistant Engineer to support mining operations at Samri Bauxite Mines, Lohardaga. The role emphasizes surveying, mapping, and DGMS-compliant plans to ensure project readiness.

You will collaborate with the operations team, prepare surface/geological plans, and help implement safety and sustainability practices across the mine block in the Metals division.

Responsibilities

• To measure excavation area and submit surface plan, geological plan, water danger plan to DGMS with respect to the Mines Project.
• To provide support on borehole, drafting maps and survey related work in Mines Project.
• To make the new project (Surbena Khajri and Damchuan Bauxite Mines Block) operational before due date.
• Regular survey of the CL areas to ensure exploration work is as per Scheme of Prospecting.
• Overseeing implementations of SOPs in all aspects of operation under jurisdiction.
• Cost control and budgeting to achieve cost saving without compromising delivery by driving continuous process improvement.
• Collaborate with operations team and contractors to prepare mines free of top soil, overburden and ready for excavation as per mining plan.
• Implement safety standards to achieve zero harm including HIRA and 5S and monitor safety training.

• Implementing Safety standards to achieve zero harm through i mplementation of safety standards such as HIRA, 5S
• Monitoring implementation of safety related training

• Monitoring intake and deployment of physically fit and appropriately trained contractual workforce and ensuring their continuous training and wellbeing as per company guidelines.
