As a Support Counsellor, your primary role is to provide emotional support, guidance, and counselling services to individuals facing various personal, psychological, and emotional challenges. Responsibilities:

• Emotional Support: Offer a safe and non-judgmental environment where clients can express their thoughts, feelings, and fears. Help them explore their emotions and provide reassurance and comfort during challenging times.
• Needs Assessment: Assess clients' needs, identify underlying issues, and develop personalized treatment plans. Collaborate with clients to set achievable goals and milestones for their therapeutic journey.
• Crisis Intervention: Respond to clients experiencing acute emotional crises or in immediate distress. Provide crisis intervention techniques, including active listening, de-escalation strategies, and referral to appropriate resources when necessary.
• Psychoeducation: Educate clients on various mental health topics, coping mechanisms, and self-care practices. Offer resources, tools, and techniques to help clients manage their emotions, improve their mental well-being, and enhance their overall resilience.
• Documentation: Maintain accurate and confidential client records, progress notes, and treatment plans. Ensure compliance with ethical and legal standards, including client confidentiality and privacy.
• Referral Coordination: Collaborate with other professionals, such as psychologists, psychiatrists, social workers, or community organizations, to provide comprehensive support to clients. Make referrals and coordinate care when specialized services are required.
