A leading technology firm in Navi Mumbai seeks a Mid-Senior Level IT professional with expertise in system administration on Linux/Unix and scripting skills. The ideal candidate possesses a solid understanding of electronic trading markets, SQL databases, and network infrastructure. Responsibilities include tuning systems for optimal performance and developing monitoring tools. Offers a full-time position which necessitates immediate to notice-serving availability.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of Linux/Unix for system administration and tuning.
• Good understanding of Windows operating systems.
• Proven experience in electronic trading markets.
• Scripting and development for administration, monitoring, and support tools (Python, PERL, Shell, SQL).
• Databases exposure to SQL Server and Oracle.
• ECN connectivity experience.
• Networking and firewall infrastructure understanding.
• Multicast messaging knowledge (Tibco Rendezvous preferred).
• Ability to analyze network captures.
• Capital Markets knowledge is essential.
• Experience with Geneos, Dynatrace, Bladelogic, Autosys, CFT, MQ, SFTP, Splunk, Grafana.

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on system administration and operations support for trading environments.
• Monitor performance, troubleshoot incidents, and tune systems for optimal throughput.
• Collaborate with teams on automation, tooling, and monitoring solutions.

Technical Skills:

• System administration – Strong knowledge on Linux/Unix systems with ability to tune

• Scripting (Python, PERL, Shell, SQL....) and development skills for administration, monitoring and support tools.

• Good network and firewall infrastructure understanding.
• Good understanding of multicast messaging (ideally in a Tibco Rendezvous environment).
• Ability to analyze network captures
• Knowledge of Capital Markets business and environments is essential
• Experience on Tools like Geneos, Dynatrace, Bladelogic, Autosys, CFT, MQ, SFTP, Splunk, Graphana, etc.
