Infinera Corporation in India is seeking a Material Availability Specialist to optimize inbound material logistics, manage inventories, and support procurement forecasting. You will analyze data, manage supplier communications, and drive lead-time improvements using SAP ERP MM and Excel.

The role emphasizes independent work, cross-functional collaboration, and adherence to the established procurement roadmap within a hybrid work setup.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electronics or Mechanical Engineering with 1–3 years in purchasing or inbound SCM in electronics/EMS.
• Proficiency with SAP ERP MM module.
• Experience with inventory optimization techniques.
• Proficient in managing exceptions (GR-IR, receipts discrepancies) in Source-to-Pay.

Job Description:

As a Material Availability Specialist, you will optimize inbound material logistics to ensure timely supply for our factories and hubs. Your responsibilities include managing inventories, executing order fulfillment, and supporting internal and external procurement forecasting. You will analyze data to address material shortages, lead time management, and drive effective supplier communication. With a focus on inventory optimization techniques and problem-solving methods, you will contribute to team success while working within established parameters. Leveraging your experience in SAP ERP MM and Excel, you will play a crucial role in streamlining operations and enhancing supply chain efficiency.

Qualifications

Must-Have:

• Bachelors Degree in Electronics or Mechanical Engineering with min 1 to 3 years of relevant work experience in purchasing, inbound SCM or materials management in Electronics industry/EMS.
• Proficiency with SAP ERP MM module.
• Experience with inventory optimization techniques.
• Exceptions Management (Like GR-IR, receipt or other statutory documents discrepancy) in Source to Pay processing.
• Good in working with Multiple stakeholders and ensure appropriate level of communication.
• Basic discipline to manage E-mails, Notifications from IT Tools supporting MM process on time and without escalations to higher level.
• Ability to work independently, with little or no supervision.

Nice-To-Have:

• Analytical skills, Basic exposure to Lean process techniques.
• Working knowledge of MS Excel, word and PowerPoint.
• Electronic components or Electro mech parts purchasing knowledge
• Basics of working with Business analytics tools like PBI.
