Job summary

Randstad India is seeking a Supply Planner in Pune for a full-time, permanent role. The candidate should have 3+ years in a supply chain environment, with 2+ years in inventory and SAP experience. A Bachelor’s degree in business, logistics, supply chain, or engineering is preferred.

Immediate joiners only. The role covers demand and supply alignment, inventory and warehousing optimization, NPI coordination, S&OP & process improvements, and master data governance.

Qualifications

  • Experience in supply chain with SAP MRP and master data knowledge.
  • Advanced Excel skills including pivot tables.
  • Power BI visualization skills are a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with Demand Analyst to validate Supply Value Plans and assess demand against capacity.
  • Communicate supply constraints to Demand Planning team.
  • Generate purchase orders and release plans to suppliers.
  • Monitor expenditure, chase POs, and issue vendor priority lists.
  • Track weekly vendor shipping performance and past-due orders.
  • Maintain accurate order book through vendor reconciliations.
  • Foster supplier relationships via calls, emails and site visits.

Job description

Title: Supply Planner (Full Time, Permanent role)

Experience: 3+ years experience within supply chain environment(2+ years in inventory position, experience in SAP)

Education: Bachelor’s degree preferably in business, logistics, supply chain or engineering

Demand & Supply Alignment

  • Partner with the Demand Analyst to validate Supply Value Plans and assess demand against available capacity.
  • Promptly communicate supply constraints and issues to the Demand Planning team.
  • Generate purchase orders (ZPOD) and release purchase plans to suppliers.
  • Monitor expenditure, chase outstanding purchase orders, and issue priority lists to vendors.
  • Track weekly vendor shipping performance and past-due orders.
  • Perform regular vendor reconciliations to maintain an accurate order book.
  • Cultivate strong supplier relationships through regular calls, emails, and site visits.
  • Resolve blocked invoices (Unipay) and troubleshoot EDI communication errors.

Inventory & Warehousing Optimization

  • Track inventory targets and redistribute excess stock across warehouse networks.
  • Monitor slow-moving and non-moving stock using Inventory Quality Reports (IQR) to propose corrective actions.
  • Analyze warehouse logistics to recommend optimal primary warehousing strategies.
  • Lead repacking and rebranding initiatives to align stock with market needs.
  • Implement corrective actions to resolve product and packaging quality issues.
  • Handle customer availability inquiries and prioritize backorders for key accounts.
  • Monitor Customer Fill Rates, analyze net availability issues (NNA), and perform root-cause analyses on missed lines.

NPI & Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner with Product Marketing on promotions and New Product Introductions (NPI).
  • Place initial NPI orders and update Product Marketing on expected first delivery dates.
  • Support purchasing and product teams with constrained or specialized (YN) parts.

S&OP & Process Improvement

  • Organize monthly Collaborative Supply Operation Planning (CSOP) meetings and document actionable minutes.
  • Collaborate with DC staff and suppliers on physical logistics to advance lean supply initiatives.
  • Optimize Minimum Order Quantities (MOQ) and Reorder Volumes (RV) based on packaging, layer, and pallet sizes.
  • Drive continuous process improvements across supply chain workflows.

Master Data Governance

  • Maintain clean, accurate material master data and monitor forecast availability databases.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • Good knowledge of MRP: SAP (material master data knowledge)
  • Elaborated Excel skills (> pivot tables)
  • Power BI visualization skills are considered a plus
