Job summary

Lapp India in Jigani, Karnataka, seeks a seasoned Supply Planning professional to develop and execute supply plans that balance demand, inventory targets, capacity, and procurement. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve service levels, optimize inventory, and drive S&OP processes with strong SAP ECC/S4HANA PP/MM and MRP expertise.

The role requires 12–15 years in engineering with exposure to Kinaxis/APS and a deep understanding of cable manufacturing processes.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree with 12–15 years of relevant experience.
• Good experience in MRP, RCCP/capacity planning, finite scheduling, MTS/MTO, production sequencing and constraint management.
• Strong SAP ECC/S4HANA PP/MM, MRP, planning parameters, master data, BOM/routing, inventory and production-order management; Exposure to Kinaxis/APS preferred.
• Cable Manufacturing and Process Knowledge: conductor drawing, bunching/stranding, insulation, cabling, armouring, sheathing, testing and lead times, bottleneck management.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute supply plans balancing demand, inventory targets, capacity, and procurement.
• Convert demand forecasts into supply plans and monitor forecast accuracy.
• Maintain optimal inventory levels and manage safety stock; avoid stock-outs.
• Develop production schedules with manufacturing teams and identify capacity constraints.
• Coordinate procurement and supplier performance; manage supply risks and expeditions.
• Participate in S&OP meetings and align plans with business objectives.

Role & responsibilities

Responsible for developing and executing supply plans that balance customer demand, inventory targets, production capacity, and procurement requirements. Collaborates with cross-functional teams to ensure product availability, optimize inventory, improve service levels, and drive supply chain efficiency while supporting business growth objectives.

Supply Planning

• Convert demand forecasts into supply plans.
• Balance customer demand with production and procurement capabilities.
• Develop short-term, medium-term, and long-term supply plans.
• Monitor forecast accuracy and adjust plans accordingly.

Inventory Management

• Maintain optimal inventory levels.
• Prevent stock-outs and excess inventory.
• Manage safety stock and reorder parameters.
• Improve inventory turns and working capital efficiency.

Production and Capacity Planning

• Develop production schedules with manufacturing teams.
• Identify capacity constraints and mitigation plans.
• Support make-versus-buy decisions.

Procurement and Supplier Coordination

• Ensure material availability.
• Monitor supplier performance and deliveries.
• Manage supply risks and expedite critical materials.

S&OP Process

• Participate in S&OP meetings.
• Provide supply outlook and constraints.
• Align supply plans with business objectives.

Preferred candidate profile

Any Engineering with 12-15 years of relevant experience.

Good experience in MRP, RCCP/capacity planning, finite scheduling, MTS/MTO, production sequencing and constraint management.
