Job summary

Siemens is seeking a seasoned Production Planning and Control professional in India with 12–15 years of experience in operational procurement, production scheduling and warehouse management within manufacturing. You will guide end-to-end supply chain activities, optimize inventory, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure on-time delivery of low voltage switchgear.

The role requires strong data interpretation, advanced Excel, SAP PP/MM expertise, and leadership of a 6–8 person team

Qualifications

• B.E./MBA with 12–15 years in operational procurement, production scheduling and warehouse in manufacturing industries.
• Experience in planning, purchase of raw materials for manufacturing of low voltage switchgear from domestic and import suppliers.
• Advanced Excel skills for data analysis, dashboards, and reporting.
• Knowledge of supply chain processes and end-to-end demand, supply, and order management.
• Overseeing warehouse operations, ensuring receipt, storage, picking, dispatch and inventory management to meet standards.
• Data interpretation and reporting to convert insights into action.

• Manage a team of 6–8 in procurement, scheduling and warehouse.

• Establish and maintain safety stock levels for critical components related to delivery and quality.
• Identify and implement cost-reduction initiatives across procurement activities.
• Maintain strong and effective relationships with suppliers to ensure optimal business outcomes.
• Actively contribute to and drive departmental KPIs and strategic initiatives, including material management, cost optimization, freight control, inventory planning, and localization efforts.
• Willingness to travel and conduct supplier visits as required by the business.
• Strong communication skills—both written and verbal—are essential.
• Plan production tasks and schedules according to customer orders.
• Oversee the production process, monitoring progress against schedules to ensure timely completion.
• Analyze delays and interruptions and accordingly adjust production schedule to meet deadlines.
• Liaise with various departments, including logistics, procurement, production, and quality control, to ensure a seamless workflow.
• Track production quantities, analyze data, and report KPIs.
