Daimler India Commercial Vehicles is seeking a senior leader to shape and drive supply chain planning across PAN India suppliers for Trucks, Buses, CKD, and CS. You will develop long-term strategies, optimize capacity, and mentor the planning and execution team in alignment with BharatBenz practices.
The role emphasizes supplier engagement, KPI improvements, and ensuring sustainable inventory while coordinating with logistics, procurement, and external partners.
Responsible for planning, developing, implementing, and optimizing supply chain strategies to drivebusiness growth, improve cost efficiency, andenhance customer satisfaction(Trucks/ Buses/ CC/ CKD/ CS).
Domestic Parts Planning & Controlling: Plan, execute the supply chain with PAN India suppliers to ensure the required volume for DICV is met for Trucks/ Buses/ CC/ CKD/ CS
Improvement of key metrics (Delivery, cost & Process). Continuously work on critical suppliers to enhance value chain for long term strategic engagement
Drive supply chain process improvements to enhance supplier capabilities and foster greater cohesiveness across the supply chain (Supplier/Tier-2)
Implement strategic & proactive actions to optimize inventory and achieve organizational targets for sustainable business
Ensure long-term goal achievement by aligning strategies, providing mentorship, fostering collaboration, allocating resources effectively, managing risks, empowering team members, supporting continuous learning culture and consistent inspiration.
Communication is maintained with external suppliers for planning and coordination on an ongoing basis. Supplier Management Quality teams are engaged frequently for discussions and coordination. Logistics Operations teams are communicated with regularly for feedback and coordination, while Logistics Planning teams are contacted frequently for the same purpose. Purchases-related communication is also carried out frequently for discussions and coordination.
It must be ensured that all Group and location rules and regulations, guidelines and works agreements, etc. that apply for the area of responsibility transferred are complied with or applied. In particular, these include adherence to the relevant compliance regulations, safety, data protection, work safety, and environmental regulations, and working hours regulation.
