The role oversees multi-location teams across CGT Ahilyanagar, CGT Ranjangaon, and the OMCS team in Pune, focusing on procurement, warehousing, transportation, and supplier performance to ensure cost, quality and on-time delivery.

Qualifications

  • College, university, or equivalent degree required.
  • This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.
  • 5-7 years of relevant experience preferred.
  • Experience leading multi-location supply chain teams.

Job description

Job Summary

Lead efforts within one or more Supply Chain functions including materials, production, inventory, logistics, demand management and order fulfillment. Ensures internal and external customers' expectations and requirements are met from end to end in each of the supply chains.

Key Responsibilities

Manage daily operations across functions to ensure a dependable and efficient supply chain. Lead continuous improvement projects that align with Cummins Operating System and Functional Excellence direction and leverage common processes tools, and information systems. Support Corporate Supply Chain initiatives and lead the cross Business Unit planning processes to ensure intra-company alignment. Mitigate long term supplier constraints by collaborating with functional stakeholders. Create common supply chain processes and procedures by establishing collaborative business partner relationships. Approach daily problem solving and continuous improvement opportunities strategically and tactically to achieve performance targets. Develop, understand and improve necessary Key Performance Indicators. Analyze operational trends and develop corrective action plans. Address supply chain failures promptly to ensure operations stability; escalates as appropriate. Prepare and manage an annual operating plan including expense resources, and capital. Manage, coach, and develop staff; work with employees to set goals in training and development, performance, and career planning.

  • Material Planning - Uses advanced tools (e.g. Advanced Planning Command Centre, Business Intelligence (BI) Dashboards etc.) to take a decision related to parts availability, inventory optimization and root cause analysis.
  • Materials KPI Management - Operates in relation to recent or historical outputs as compared to expectations of the organization to determine next steps to drive improvement; assesses gaps to the supply chain performance against the expectation of achieving target deliverables; interprets KPIs to understand end-customer impact; strategically balances trade-offs to influence one KPI while minimizing the impact to others.
  • Supply Chain Knowledge - Influences, with the ability to concisely explain and/or elaborate on, the multi-disciplined and end-to-end integration of the flow of information, products, and services to achieve the desired result for the end customer within the first-fit or aftermarket business segments while balancing the tensions of inventory, cost, and delivery.

Significant level of experience required. 5-7 years of relevant experience preferred.

This position leads multi-location supply chain teams with end-to-end responsibility for the supply chain operations of CGT Ahilyanagar , CGT Ranjangaon , and the OMCS team in Pune . The role manages material planning, procurement, logistics, warehousing, transportation and supplier performance for manufactured and outsourced products, including exclusive oversight of OSP facilities , to ensure optimal delivery, quality, cost, and operational performance
