Job description

As the Supply Chain Head you will be responsible for leading the Fleet Operations activity and purchasing of E3W vehicles and E4W vehicles and its budget planning. You will be handling the electrical charging infra project and purchase of raw material for manufacturing of EV chargers

Responsibilities

• Developing and implementing purchasing strategies
• Managing supplier relations and negotiating prices, contracts within timelines
• Procure vehicles, parts and materials at negotiated rate
• Preparation of comparative cost estimation with the help of proposals collected
• Maintaining the supplier database, purchase records, and related documentation
• Coordinating with cross functional teams to determine and manage inventory needs
• Ensuring that all procured items meet the required quality standards and specifications
• Responsible for the quality of material supplied
• Identifies optimal shipment and transportation routes with attention to consolidation of warehousing and distribution
• Participates as an advisory member of the product development team, providing information and guidance on availability and cost of supplies and materials
• Monitors the performance of suppliers, assessing their ability to meet quality and delivery requirements; identifies and quantifies new suppliers in collaboration with other departments
• Track and report key functional metrics to reduce expenses and improve effectiveness
• Forecast price and market trends
• Monitor and forecast upcoming levels of demand, Inventory control of materials
• Diligent maintenance of documentation for effective retrieval

Location & commitments

• Employment type : Full-time, Permanent
• Working days : Monday to Friday + alternate Saturdays

Candidate requirements

• Experience: 20 + years of experience into Supply Chain Management and vehicle procurement
• Skills required: Must have prior experience in Vehicle procurement, Ability to manage logistics of all aspects of supply chain, from product development to the shipment of finished items, Understanding of accounting or finance, Must be able to comprehend legal documents
• Education qualification: Bachelor’s degree in business management, supply chain management, or any related field
