Job summary

Johnson & Johnson is seeking a Production Planning & Scheduling Lead in Aurangabad, India. The role involves managing and developing work processes to align customer delivery needs with manufacturing plans, overseeing production schedules, and ensuring policy compliance.

You will interact with regional teams to optimize production levels and drive on-time delivery. The position requires strong analytical, forecasting, and leadership skills, with responsibility for coordinating planning

Qualifications

• To manage the planning and preparation of production schedules for manufacturing.
• To develop and implement production planning policies, standards, guidelines, technology, and procedures.
• To maintain compliance with company planning policies regarding all safety.
• To analyze production specifications and plant capacity data and perform mathematical calculations to determine manufacturing processes material, personal and tools.
• To expedite operations that delay or alter schedules to meet unforeseen conditions.

Responsibilities

• To provide a closed loop connection between marketing/sales stated demand, manufacturing capacity/build plans, and the total revenue plan.
• To submit production planning report to management and develops solutions to address the potential production problems.
• To analyze results and initiates appropriate action to meet business goals.
• To review customer order records and backorder issues.
• To participate in new product launch meetings and new products forecasts as a business partner
• To interact with regional planning Team, India supply Chain Team, & Production to workout optimum level production
• To undertake volume forecast for both local as well as imported goods (RM/PM) to be prepared for the purchases activities that will have to be undertaken.

Job Description: This job exists to manage and develop work processes that integrate customer delivery requirement into manufacturing plans, supervise the planning and preparation of production schedules for manufacturing at Ethicon Aurangabad and execute it with issuance to production.

• a. To manage the planning and preparation of production schedules for manufacturing.
• b. To develop and implement production planning policies, standards, guidelines, technology, and procedures.
• c. To maintain compliance with company planning policies regarding all safety.
• d. To analyze production specifications and plant capacity data and perform mathematical calculations to determine manufacturing processes material, personal and tools.
• e. To expedite operations that delay or alter schedules to meet unforeseen conditions.
• f. To provide a closed loop connection between marketing/sales stated demand, manufacturing capacity/build plans, and the total revenue plan.

• l. To do Raw Material and Packaging material planning, considering the forecast from Supply team and desired stockings levels to ensure optimum service levels, in cases where needed.
• m. To undertake volume forecast for both local as well as imported goods (RM/PM) to be prepared for the purchases activities that will have to be undertaken, in cases where needed.

• n. To ensure compliance to the company policies and procedures and ensure that the routine working follows these procedures and fulfill all policy requirement.
• o. Ensure adherence/Compliance to records management policies and procedures, as applicable.
• p. To undertake volume forecast for both local as well as important goods (RM/PM) to be prepare for purchase activities that will have to be undertaken.
• q. Coordinates physical inventories, cycle counting, surplus-obsolete, engineering changes, cancellation activities, projected usage, and other inventory planning/and reduction activities.
• r. Analyzes stock control records and information such as finished goods dispatches as per allocation by Distribution.
• s. Verifies inventory accuracy, takes cycle counts, controls inventory levels so as to meet changing demands.
• t. Troubleshoots immediate inventory accuracies.
• u. Observes and promotes all regulatory & statutory requirements as defined per applicable regulations, rules and procedures established by the Company, and notifies any violation or deviation to the immediate supervisor or appropriate authority.
