Job summary

KSB in Pune invites an Officer/Executive to join the Quality Management team at Chinchwad. You will conduct dimensional inspections of fabricated parts, review drawings and enforce adherence to specs, and coordinate NCRs and corrective actions with vendors.

The role requires 4–5 years in inspection, diploma in Mechanical, and hands-on experience with measuring instruments and NDT awareness. It offers a stable shop-floor environment with benefits including insurance and canteen.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Mechanical with 4–5 years experience in inspection or QA.
• Experience in dimensional inspection of fabricated parts and verifying against drawings.
• Awareness of NDT testing and documentation review.
• Ability to read and interpret fabrication drawings and relevant standards.

Responsibilities

• Conduct dimensional inspection of fabricated parts using calipers, micrometres, height gauges and dial indicators.
• Perform API plan inspection including visual, dimensional, hydro test and NDT inspection.
• Execute NDT activities such as DPI, RT, UT as per requirements.
• Verify vendor processes follow approved drawings and specifications.
• Prepare detailed inspection reports, NCRs and corrective action requests.
• Ensure inspection results are documented and shared with quality management or clients.
• Communicate findings to vendors and help resolve quality issues.
• Identify recurring supplier quality issues and propose process improvements.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Conduct dimensional inspection of fabricated parts (Can, Motor stool, column pipes, base frame, etc.) using measuring instruments such as vernier callipers, micrometres, height gauges, and dial indicators etc.
• Perform API plan inspection for visual, dimensional, hydro test, NDT inspection, documenst review etc.
• Execute NDT (Non-Destructive Testing) activities including DPI, RT, UT as per requirements.
• Verify that vendor manufacturing processes follow approved drawings and specifications.
• Prepare detailed inspection reports, NCRs (Non-Conformance Reports) and corrective action requests as required.
• Ensure that all inspection results are documented accurately and submitted to quality management or clients.
• Communicate inspection findings and work with vendors to resolve quality issues.
• Identify recurring issues in vendor quality performance and provide feedback for process improvements through notifications and improvement actions

Functional Skills:
