Job summary

ZF Group in Chennai – Ambattur is seeking a Supplier Quality professional with 7+ years of experience to drive part development, PPAP approvals and supplier performance. You will collaborate with internal teams to ensure quality across the supply base.

You will coordinate technical reviews, manage e-APQP, CAPA, 8D reports, and drive supplier improvement initiatives while supporting warranty and NCR reductions across plants.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in supplier quality roles.
• Experience with PPAP, APQP and change management.
• Knowledge of sheet metal components.
• Experience in VDA audits and supplier validation.

Responsibilities

• Technical review with supplier on part manufacturing feasibility and design activity with Engineering.
• Complete e-APQP using Supply On & Project management software.
• Handle change management projects via eSICR / SCR.
• Administer PPAP approvals and product release with safe launch monitoring.
• Perform VDA audits at supplier and in-house processes.
• Manage supplier claims raised at customers and plants; track closure.
• Ensure CAPA actions are taken and closed with 8D reports.
• Support SQ Lead in KPI: PPM, SIR, and complaints.
• Manage EL2 escalations on supplier development activities.
• Assist Plant SQE in resolving chronic issues with technical support.
• Lead technology workshops and benchmark processes across suppliers.
• Organize supplier management reviews and follow up on actions.
• Support warranty team for claim closures related to supplier parts.

• 1.Technical review with supplier [Part manufacturing feasibility, Design activity with Engineering in part development]
• 2. e-APQP Completion using Supply On & Project management software
• 3. Handling change management projects routed via. eSICR / SCR
• 4. PPAP approval and Product release with Safe launch monitoring
• 5. Performing VDA Audit at supplier & Inhouse process
• 6. Handling Supplier claims reported at Customer ,inhouse and incoming of all plants
• 7. Ensure proper CAPA is taken and claims are closed properly with 8D report
• 8. Support SQ Lead in achieving team KPI PPM, Supplier Impact Rate [SIR] ,No of complaints
• 9. Managing EL2 Escalation on supplier development activites
• 10. Supporting Plant SQE for resolving chronic issues with technical expertise
• 11. Leading Technology work shop & bench marking the process across suppliers including Horizontal deployment
• 12. Organize Supplier Management reviews and followup of open actions
• 13. Support Warranty team for claim closure related to supplier parts
