Job summary

Montra Electric in Pune, India, seeks an experienced Supplier Technical Engineer to own the supplier industrialization strategy and drive evaluation, DFM closure, and robust process planning.

You will lead PPAP/PSW processes, secure gate-to-SOP, ensure first-time-right launches, and drive quality metrics, including ramp-up, PPM, and TTR, while coordinating with engineering, sourcing, and plant quality teams.

Qualifications

• 8-16 years of experience in supplier technical engineering.
• Own the supplier industrialization strategy: evaluate, rank, source, audit criteria/evidence, and nominate readiness.
• Lead the APQP master plan end-to-end: secure DFM closure and robust process planning; approve process sign-off.
• Verify gate delivery to SOP with PPAP evidence (MSA, Cp/Cpk, control plans, 8D) and approve PSW.
• Drive quality performance and ramp-up: run at rate/capacity proofs, reduce PPM, improve TTR, recovery plans.
• Govern design/process/tooling changes up to SOP with traceability and risk-based Make/Buy decisions.
• Coordinate with Centers of Competence/Engineering, Sourcing/SRM, and Plant Quality; ensure data hygiene and compliance.
• Lead and coach the STA team; own KPIs (PPAP FTR, PPM, TTR, launch issues).

• Lead the APQP master plan end to end: secure DFM closure and robust process planning; approve Process Planning sign off, remove roadblocks, and lock controls for special characteristics.
• Ensure gate delivery to SOP: verify complete PPAP evidence (MSA, Cp/Cpk, control plans, 8D), approve PPAP and PSW at SOP, and deliver first time right launches.
• Own quality performance & ramp up: run at rate/capacity proofs, PPM reduction, TTR improvements, supplier recovery plans, and systemic capability uplift.
• Govern technical changes up to SOP (design/process/tooling): maintain change logs & validations, ensure traceability, and support Make/Buy decisions with facts and risks.
• Orchestrate interfaces with Centers of Competence/Engineering, Sourcing/SRM (governance, escalations), and Plant Quality; enforce data/system hygiene and compliance.
